    This week in Pav history

So I've been thinking about doing this for a while now. This past February was the fifth anniversary of the current iteration of the RPG Maker Pavilion. So once a week, I'm going to try to play Pav historian and dredge up posts from that particular week 5 years ago.

I ask that you do NOT bump any of these topics linked to. You will receive a warning and if it persists, an infraction for doing so. If you wish to discuss the (sometimes embarrassing) past, do it in this thread, please. So here we go!

    RPG Maker
Valk apparently has a non-disclosure agreement, as a dead-on description of RPGM3 is posted less than a month later.

    The Vidya
    No, BRC, you're not, unfortunately.
Short-lived trend has Rain pulling a Perversion before I was even here.
Pav response mirrors greater gaming public.
    highwind can't read.
    Garr says, "Crap."

    Imaginari
Raccoon art. Bonus points for Marc's first post in conjunction with his current PSN avatar, and for post #29.
Caciss proposes a project, gets slammed with spam, and may not have finished said project.

    Free Forum
Valk has fun with search terms that led to the Pav that month.
Funk makes his first March Madness thread at the new forum, and whaddya know? Michigan State was a contender that year too.
Archer Armored wants to avoid a fight, but says so in a typical Archer Armored way.
Terr propaganda proliferates, including perhaps his first mention of electric cars on these boards, and more Terr diatribes ensue. This was a busy week for his evangelism.

Valk honestly had no idea RPG Maker 3 was coming at that time.

Wow, the RPGM3 topic saddens me. Has it really been that long since Enterbrain released a new entry in the console RPGM series?

At the same time, I find it interesting how we had all forgotten about the drawbacks that were mentioned about RPGM3 by the time we found it we were getting it. If only he had mentioned the 100-character limit, too.

I'd like to know what the "raccoon topic" was about. Somewhere, a post had to have been deleted.

your first post in that topic, which is displayed as the second post in the topic, WAS the first post in the topic. something happened and it thought marcman posted a year earlier, so it put his post above yours, even though it was a reply to your post.

hell, we were still on ezboard in 2004. stupid vbulletin.

All of the italiscized content was in italics to denote that it was written by someone else. That wasn't my own, but I felt it was worth sharing it.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. It's still further promotion of your own agenda, whatever that is, exactly.
