    Re: Something I'm missing

Yes, there are less RPGM2 games/demos than 1/predicted 3, but they're all very different from each other and really show off some mad rpgmaking skills and thorough preparation. With rpgm3 they're'll be way more games, but after you've played some of them you'll stop caring about playing more. RPGM1 could do more than just normal rpgs, but rpgm3 can't.

I suspect they are just reading the % off the file name when saving. Since you can't fill that past 100%, it counts as a percent complete.

      My thoughts exactly.

I have an RPGM2 game virtually ready, but RPGM3 came out and, since I bought it right away, I put Videogamedrome on hold until I get over my "New Toy Syndrome" and get back to work with my favorite of the series, namely RPGM2.

While some people say 2 is way too hard, I feel it depends on a combination of how much work you are willing to put in to creating and your basic logic skills.

      Peace.

      MOO!

        Right. If you say so...

I bought one of those detachable USB little Drives but my ps2 doesn't recognize it.
because you need PS2 software for the PS2 to recognize it, which is only available with the Max Drive, or Pro Action Replay Max Evo

The memory consumed is generally a good indication as to how complete your game is (at least, it's pretty acurate for me).

I'm excited to see the first batch of XP games, myself. Especially if Marcus is making anything.
I haven't touched rmxp in a long while. I guess I better pick it up soon and start sample game quest II or something. I'm actually making the graphics to a Diablo clone called NiRoPiZo (Ninja, Robot, Pirate, Zombie) complete with a random dungeon and item generator. I just have to make sure the guy making the scripts holds up but I trust him.

Also, the PS2 won't take some USB drives, in my experiences version 2.0.

                Re: Something I'm missing

RPGM1 has a lot of games because it's been out 5 years, and it's feaking easy to use (aside from text imput). Unfortunately, there are a lot of crap games in that list.

RPGM2, isn't this like the second year it's been out? And of course, it takes a lot longer to create a decent game.

Also, when you see people talk about their games, keep in mind that there's something like an 80-something% chance that game will not ever be finished. (90-something% if it's a game I'm talking about.)

I totally agree. I think if you have an idea that you are dying to get out, then youll learn RPGM2 in time. Otherwise, there is no motivation to learn the system.

If the memory is in the 90s it's time to finish the game.

. Unfortunately, yes. Though, I don't really remember playing any crap games.

                          Re: Something I'm missing

Well I have a PSP. So I'll transfer games that way. I thank you all for responding to my thread. I hope you guys like the game I'll put up on day. I don't have it all setup as of yet. Just want to get the game (waiting till pay day) and then work with it a bit.

I have that logitech keyboard joystick combo thing so I think that'll help a bit.

Thanks again folks for what you've shared. I'm sure as I read more in this webpage and from what you guys post I'll learn a lot from RPGM3. Too bad there isn't a strat guide for it. I have a copy of part 2 guide. Think someone gave it to me. Anyway....after I get used to the game. I'll post up my trail adventure and see how you guys like it.
