The unwritten rules of playing an FPS online

    I'll start:

    - If you beat me, it's only because you're gay and spend all day playing the game. I'm too busy getting laid to be a loser-champion like you.

    - If I beat you, it's because I am the man and you suck. And you're still gay.

    - Using a machine gun in close range is cheap, and makes you a spray noob. Using a rifle from far range is cheap, and makes you a rifle b*tch. You clearly dont have the skill like I do when I bunny hop in a WWII game and use a glitch to reach a spot where you cant shoot me.

    - When playing the team games, teamwork is not to be used. Ever. Because that's gay. It works much better if everyone just runs off on their own and plays deathmatch while the timer reaches 0 and the bomb they are supposed to defuse goes off.

    - Every time you are killed, you are required to say "OMG Hack".

    - When the objective of the match is to guard a specific spot, you are not allowed to guard that spot, because that's camping. And that's gay.

    Now you, go.

Where did this come from? Lemme guess, Counter-Strike?

I like how people say I wall hack even though you can shoot through certain walls/boxes with the right weapon. Like the AK-47 or Colt/M4.

I once got accused of hacking in CS for walking.

Or "silent hack" as the gentleman put it.

In BF:1942, I shot a guy in a jeep that was trying to run me over, with a bazooka. Usually the toasted jeep would run into you anyway, but it flew rigth over the top of my head and the guy got ****ed that it didnt kill me and said I had a hack the reduced gravity or some ****.

He was in charge of the server I was on and kicked me out.

When possible, you should try to shorten you're sentences in such a way that they are uncomprehensible to any other player in the game. You should also, when applicable, replace letters for numbers or other symbols. (i.e: "Dud3 wtf i tht tht i w@s gnna tke h1m out!!1!)

                  - You are supposed to say every curse word in the dictionary when playing.

                  - You are supposed to kill your teammates or leave the game within seconds of it starting.

                  - You are supposed to yell at your teammates because they have 3 less points than you, cause they all suck compared to you.

                  - You are supposed to play loud crappy music constantly while playing.

                  - You are supposed to cheat whenever you can.

                  - You are supposed to kill your self constantly, lowering the teams score.

-Whenever you are booted from a game you are to immediatly re-join the game and kill your teammates for kicking you. Rinse and repeat.

                      - Whenever you're teamkilled, teamkill back.

                      - Throw a tantrum at LAN games when nothing goes your way.

Brutal, though I've always suspected that generally as to why I could never win at AvP.

I went into the Counterstrike server with the name "Soft and Supple Breasts" and I was told to change my name or I would be kicked out. Given the sounds of their voices and conversation about families and wives, I assume these guys were nearly in their 30s. Why would they be bothered by the least offensive term for the lesser offensive part of a woman's body?

                            - Voice chat is a very useful tool for yelling at your teammates for not doing what you want them to.

                            - Killing people at one of their respawn points is camping. Especially if the respawn point is a vital target for your team.

                            - The guy in the vehicle using the turret to defend the base doesn't know what he's doing. Go ahead and hop in and drive away to confront the enemy head on.

                            - Your score = your experience playing, even if you gained points by camping the enemy base.

                            - Trying to run people over with a plane is the best thing you can possibly do for your team.

                            - And for UT2k4 players: HEAL THE CORE! It's the only way to win!
                            ...and that's why.
