maybe they saw how huge the singer's mouth was in GH3 and said, "hey, that should be Steven Tyler."

Activision sure seems hell bent on getting everyone burned out on this franchise.

no kidding, its already burnt me out of it and i hardly even play it. they need to step back and let it die down then build it up again later.

maybe they want to burn it into the ground? perhaps they fear someone else making games to challenge their hold?

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!

Well, I'm glad we'll get another spin-off to the series with an excellent mix of musical styles. Yes sir, a real vast and ever changing set list awaits us. This will definitely be worth $50.00. They should charge $80.00 without the guitar.

With DLC what's even the point of releasing new GH games, can't they just release the songs as new content packs?

I agree, you just know that its going to be GHIII with repainted sets and a lackluster set of features.

I was gonna get GH3 eventually, but I've had such a great experience with Rock Band, I've lost interest completely. Also, looking at the market place, GH3 hardly has any downloads while Rock Band just keeps pumping out songs.

With the option of buying new content online for games such as this, it just seems like a waste for Activision to make more guitar heroes for retail. Just release the Aerosmith songs as a GH3 download.

So Rock Band anyone . At least you can play the game with your Guitar plugged in and it's not all "Unauthorized peripheral plugged in, please unplug it to play this game, I mean why would you want to leave it plugged anyway." So yeah, this is going to blow, I mean 80's I was pretty meh (why I passed on it), this is just ugh. I mean Aerosmith has some good songs, but damn a game with only them.

Maybe Activision will eventually realize how stupid they're being, or lose money and stop making guitar hero games. Either way is fine with me.

With skate and Rock Band, EA > Activision.

I read about this earlier today on Gamespot, and one of the comments posted I agree with. That is, if they release this as a $20.00 expansion, and release a few more titles this way (with either genres or a single artist), it would not be so bad. Not saying I'd buy it, but at least I can see the value and logic in doing something like that for the few people out there who are unable to download songs online. But to charge $50 or $60 as a full-priced game would be utterly ridiculous, and as huge as GH is right now, I think a lot of people will pass at that price point.

Only nice thing is that February 16-18 (I think), they are offering a free Aerosmith song as a download to promote the upcoming release. The song is Dream On, which honestly would be about the only one I'd even want to play in the first place.
