I've had fun so far online, unless someone takes Ike, then he wins 75-80% of the time. He'll just sit back and spam smashes because you can't really hit him out of it, it's uber powerful, and has rediculous range. I'll usually take snake and just toss grenades at his head, but usually everyone else will run into him.

So I'm treating him like Ali in Fight Night Rd. 3; you don't expect to beat him, but it feels good if you do.

Another cheap tactic I've seen is running away with Olimar and spamming projectiles till he got the super smash. Not really sure how he got it so fast every time (usually did it twice per match, wiping out everyone on screen). I guess you just have to chase his ass down and dodge the Pikmin.

Considering that I have yet to see a character speak, the codec stuff is probably not even in the game, just a way to introduce Snake at game events and trailers.

*edit* well, not in the story mode, it does have one codec in the movies catagory

Found it, when you play as Snake on his level, press the down taunt repeatedly until he holds his ear, then he calls the codec. You can do this in the training mode, some of its really funny. Especially when you call when fighting pikachu.

So what are some favorite maps? Some not so favorite maps?

I hate New Pork City. It's just a big, sprawling mess.

I love Yoshi's Island, Green Hill Zone and Shadow Moses. :3

On the Wario Ware level I just have it to Ashly's song.

Oh and when using codec, I reccomend using it when fighting Falco and Luigi.

When you call when fighting Falco, Snake gets a hold of Slippy instead of the Colonel.

For a fighter, SSE holds its own pretty well.

Its not as bad as Tekken's, or god forbid Mortal Kombat Armageddon's story modes.

It feels more like an old school 2D platformer more than anything else.

Even if a mildly lacking one at that.

So how does it compare to Tobal No. 1 and 2's Quest modes?
