Big thanks to CAGs DX and Ugamer_X (with an assist from zewone) who have shared images of the August 12 Sunday ads for Walmart and Toys R us. These ads confirm the Hollywood Reporter's scoop that a $50 price cut would begin in early August. Currently, it is uncertain if the $50 price cut is only valid for the $400 Premium system. We will update you here as we learn more.

Hell yeah! I've been waiting for this. I wonder if I should go for the premium or the Elite if that goes to $430. I'm not interested in downloading TV shows or movies. I just want demos and XBLA games.

Kotaku comments on the article has the RUMOR that the full price cut will be $50 for the Core and Premium, and then $80 for the Elite. Making the full SKU linup pricing as:

$250 - Core
$350 - Premium
$400 - Elite

Other people are saying that the Elite and the Core are actually getting a smaller price cuts though. I'm thinking the Elite might end up at $450 or $440 and the Core around $275.

For the price, the Elite sounds like a pretty good deal. I would have gotten the Elite, but it's too late for me now. But oh well, I'm the happys.
