I atleast think that there should have been a map that you could access in the menu that would point you in the right direction.

      Re: Lair

I played it a bit at a friends house and I'm not terribly surprised it's getting **** reviews.

Also the PS3 controllers feel like delicate snowflakes.

If you could play through the bridge level, and tell me you arent impressed with the game, there is something wrong with you. But again, its all opinion. The majority of non-professional opinions have been positive.
So, I actually only got the PS3 because of Lair, and yes I am playing it on an HDTV, but it's probably being down-resolved because I don't believe my TV supports 1080. But seriously-

the ground troops look like poop when you are not on the ground. Serious dookie.

And as for the bridge level- I didn't have enough fun to warrant more than the half-hour to an hour that I played. If a game can't grab me, It's over. I'm just glad my wife got us the game for free (preview through GameStop - she's a manager there).

Unfortunately I still have this rather large paperweight doing nothing on my shelf (literally - I already unplugged the power leaking S.O.B.).
Took me 15 minutes to remember how to change my signature, and this is all I came up with.

Well, have fun with your paperweight, there are currently enough good games where you should have something to play.

Me, i cant get enough of Warhawk right now.

            Re: Lair

So then it's safe to say I won't be getting a PS3 for Lair. That's a bummer, actually. Will there ever be a dragon game that's actually good? Oh wait, Panzer Dragoon. But for all I know, that's not well-liked, either.

                Dragon Quest?

                Wait, a game where you're a dragon?

                Breath of Fire?

This has gotta be one of the worst topics the vg forum has seen.

Dragon Quest doesn't count because you sometimes fight dragons, and almost every RPG has a little of that.

Breath of Fire, yeah, but when was the last time an acceptable BoF game came out?

But we've started to get off-topic.

Hate to beat a dead horse, but watching gametrailers review of this game (where they back everything up with actual video) has convinced me to stay far away from it. not even going to spend the money to rent it. it looks like a near-complete disaster.

But that's because they're reviewing it wrong. Literally. So to remedy the problem Factor 5 sent out the Lair Reviewer's Guide. It's 21 pages of gameplay tips, story/character details, and 6 pages of control explanation so they can play it right and realize how great the game actually is.

Is this as hilarious as it sounds to me?
