1-1 he could've gotten through easier. He had a big mario the could crush the blocks right above him, then he could've jumped onto the ceiling and run his way through.

But if you want to do it the right way, ya, that looked like i would just quit the first few deaths.

There's a new video out of this same thing, only it adds a person doing commentary as if he was playing it at the time.

"This is worst than an R.L. Stine book."

It's a bit stupid at times, and pretty funny at other times. it's called "Super Mario Frustration." I won't link it since it's got a lot of F bombs, but you should be able to find it pretty easy on Googe Video.
