My cousin (probably more addicted to videogames than everyone here combined) says that PS3's have a 75% chance to break. I wouldn't hesitate to believe that.

Your cousin is a moron. there are nowhere near as many reports of faulty PS3's as there were PS2's or 360's with the same amount of systems available. And with the amount of PS3 hatred there seems to be, people that are having major problems should be all over the place by now.

I think you cousin has a 75% chance of having a relative gullible enough to believe him...

The PS3 has a very LOW failure rate. a handful of systems didnt work at launch, and thats pretty much it. The Wii had a pretty high failure rate at launch, with systems asking for non-existant startup discs, and system updates bricking the console. The Wii is beaten by the 360 though, which a full year after release, still has brand new systems breaking down just days after purchase.
