Re: CWS Discussion: The Next Generation.

Just want to stop in and say that I'm still reading and enjoying the editting posts and the comments that precede them.. I just don't have anything to say about them separately, at the moment.

    Good work and all.

Magik, your second addition will be posted relatively soon. Congratulations, you'll be two years old!

Just want to stop in and say that... I'm lazy and haven't reading because school, work, baseball, and video games have been taking up all of my time. Look, my Night Elf Hunter isn't going to level himself up, alright?

I'm sorry. I promise that at some point in time I will read the entire thing. However, that may have to be after finals.

That's fine, I don't think anyone who isn't me, Mora, Magik, or Ryu is truly reading everything.

And the other three could quite possibly be skimming the additions rather than reading the whole things.

I think I just realized a continuity error for Aleksi. I'll be back in a few minutes with proof to support it.

Re: CWS Discussion: The Next Generation.

Okay, an excerpt from Mora's 8th addition, right before Aleksi and Sasha are taken captive by Anteronians:

Sasha and Aleksi began manipulating the controls on the bridge, bringing the engine online and set to idle. Out of the windows of the bridge, they could see the harbor patrol making their way down to their ship. Aleksi was on the brink of true panic. They couldn’t take off without risking the loss of Guillermo, and he doubted that the both of them could escape unarmed from a conflict with a regiment of Anteron soldiers who meant business. Even his cunning couldn’t foresee a clean way out of this. Their regrouping had taken too much time. And with the knowledge he had gained of events brewing in Anteron’s capital, the idea of being in the eye of the storm didn’t suit him at all. Just then, he heard rapping at the entrance of the airship. He instantly thought of the possibilities this development could contain. It, possibly, could be Guillermo and they could be on their way, regrettably sans Dedalus and just as well without that old bag of bones. It could be Dedalus, which would be less preferable but still welcome, since he was the only one who knew where their new training ground would be and he had withheld the information until full payment. If it were Bastraglon, he’d probably kill him on the spot: one less piece of deadweight that could be linked to them. The fourth possibility was the most likely: Anteron soldiers. If it were them, there was little he could do without sentencing himself to death or abandoning their charge. And Aleksi did not want to think about what Dobbel might do to anybody that lost his soldier, regardless of his own personal feelings towards him
The sentence in bold tells us that Aleksi does have foreknowledge of the attack in Antaross.

In the addition I just posted, Mora's 9th, Aleksi apparently forgets this information, as shown here: (again, sentences in bold)

“Get us and one other out of here alive and you can have whatever you want,” Aleksi said hurriedly, storming out of his cell and into the hall with the rest of them. “And what the HELL is going on in this city, pray tell? I don’t suppose your contacts had any information about that, huh?”

“As a matter of fact,” Dedalus said, “I do happen to have an idea of what’s going on. Some weird foreign guy called Gjigrajheth threatened to attack Antaross tonight. Antaross seems to be taking it pretty seriously, since every single warship and platoon that would make a difference has been recalled back to here.”
So, Mora, what wouldst thou have done?

Um, I'd take out the earlier mentioning. Because I have no idea what I was going for with that.

Changed, for the edited, formatted file. I didn't bother changing it on the forum, though.

Re: CWS Discussion: The Next Generation.

I have completed the editing for Book 3! I'm now less than 200 pages from being completely done with editing.

The reason I keep constant updates like this is to keep me motivated to keep working. As it stands, I allowed myself to get really lazy and the additions nearly caught up to me. I'm now only three additions ahead of what was posted today, when I used to be twenty ahead. The page differential is probably somewhat the same, though. *shrugs*

                  Anyway, that's the update.

                      Update!

Finals are over; I have to move out of my dorms tomorrow. Then I have to pack up all of my belongings because I'm staying with my parents for the summer and they bought a new house and they're moving to a rental home while the new house is being built. So I will be trying to work on my addition admist all the hectic events of moving.
