    Metallica-One

I don't know when I made my last topic, so lets turn the attention to me! I get to tell something that I will get criticized and bugged about, but it's worth it, for that one soul who didn't know about this. :3

First off I caught half the message with out reading about. The riff before the solo has the same beat as morse code for S.O.S. and Help. That I knew, however I didn't know the other part was morse code for kill me. At first I thought the S.O.S. was on accident because the rythym sounds really cool.

But seeing Metallica did it on purpose really makes the song seem more deep.

    THE MORE YOU KNOW!

I didn't know about the SOS, but James Hetfield wrote this song after reading about a WW1 soldier who was almost killed by an artillery shell. His legs and arms were destroyed and he was not able to speak or hear.

That solo is pretty tough on GH3.

Yes, it goes right along with the video, also the lyrics. All the poor guy wanted is to dye.

Metallica rules and there songs are deep, like the Unforgiven. What's that about?

Very sad song if you think about it.
              Very dark also.

I did not know about the morse code riffs. o_O

What I do know, however, is that the solo is awesome.

Is that a joke, or are you being serious? Because Anthem is one of my favorite books, but I kinda ignored everything Metallica did after, ...And Justice for All. I think that album was their peak, and the black album began their steady decline.

Not a joke, it's widely theorized.

I feel it to be true many people turn toward a different song from metallica, like Master Of Puppets, or Enter Sandman, for discussion. So happy we're talking about a good song from them, and anyway, yes, I agree wit Lyner, the solo, the one at the end, is quite difficult in Guitar Hero III, and if you listen to the lyrics, it easily pops at you the story it tells. Seeking heaven for saving, and BOOM! Welcome to hell.

I whole heartedly agree with this.
