Why is Sony bieng so arrogent?

I'm not saying anything bad about PS3 but it seems the people at Sony are really bieng arrogent.

Just one example GMR magazine interviewed Kaz Hirai (President and CEO of SCEA)

"GMR:Going on with Blu-ray. What if Blu-ray doesn't win the format war?

Kaz: How can that be?"

GMR then had to explain (i'm not gonna write it all out, cause I am lazy) thier question, Kez responded with a long spheel about how it wont fail.

I think it is arrogent giving a hypothetical situation that could happen then saying "That can't happen"

This really isn't about PS3 but I thought it fit.

even if he felt it might not win, WHY would he give any indication that he thought that?

It would be stupid of him to say something like that. I'd rather look arrogant, and take the risk of winning, then say something otherwise, and assure my failure.

Sony's acting like that dude in high school that got all the girls even though he was a prick.

Thats because girls are attracted to guys who are confident, even if they are a prick.

Arrogant people often succeed with thier goals. Even if they are evil. Not saying that sony is evil.

Yeah girls are stupid and illogical and dumb I swear they'll all be sorry for turning me down and that was AFTER he tossed me in the trash can so his blinking red back was turned to me so I could stab him with my Harpoon Laser for MASSIVE DAMAGE.

At this point I'd like to mention Nintendo's Star Fox 64 promotional video, in which, after showing off Star Fox 64 to a Sony guy and Sega guy, the two said "We're in DEEP trouble."

Sega sure was.

I'm in a tough spot w/ Sony cuz I still like the ps2 and the PSP is my preferred portable system, but the PS3 still looks like a bloated piece of crap to me. Their attitude doesn't help either.
