I played all through 1, mostly through 2, and halfway through 3. Is there somewhere I can catch up on what happened in Suikoden? I know it's not necessary, but I wanna know what happened before I get 5, I heard the story is great. Besides, I was hoping for more Flik & Viktor...

Re: Catching up w/ Suikoden
I loved 1 and 2.
3 made me want to throw every other Suikoden game into a burning fire. So, I never played 4 or Tactics. It's their fault, having such a ****** battle system and dungeons that were basically walking in a straight line. -_- Ugh, Suikoden III was the bane of my RPG existence."I can dodge nuclear missles, baby!"

Re: Catching up w/ Suikoden
I've played all of them multiple times, and am about to start on 5., which I just got. Believe it or not, Suikoden III is my favorite of the series, with Suikoden II a close second... (nearly a tie.) You could probably skip Suikoden IV if you wanted, since its story takes place so far outside the timeline. And with ultra slow sailing through nearly endless water and a phenomenally high encounter rate, progress is pretty tough in the beginning. By the time the story starts getting really good, the game is almost over. Oh Well, off to play Suikoden V!

Re: Catching up w/ Suikoden
I've never played any of the Suikoden games. Every time I say that, my friends look at me like I'm from outer space. I've heard that the series is very good and it is probably the only series I regret not experiencing.
I had to change accounts. I'm here now - http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/member.php?u=1475

My sentiments exactly."At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

Re: Catching up w/ Suikoden
Well, I think Suikoden 3 was the best in the series, with 2 a close second. You some of you might not have liked it, but it doesnt mean it wasnt a good game, YOU just didnt like it. Suikoden 4 on the other hand was just plain BAD, period, even the Suikoden fanboys hated it, which is saying something. I plan on playing 5 tonight, but i might play more of oblivion instead.Vita, 3DS, PSP, PS3, PC, WiiU, Wii & 360

Re: Catching up w/ Suikoden
The problem with 3 is that there are only like 6 dungeons, and you just have to go through them over and over and over and over again with different groups. I didn't hate it nearly as much as most people, but I didn't love it either.
4 made me want to throw my controller against the wall. The graphics were total blah and the sailing was so annoying.
