I didn't do one last week because there really wasn't a lot going on.

Hey! The Anything Goes and Speedy RPG contests wrap up on November 12th! Are you ready? Do you need extensions? TELL ME. EXTENSION GIVEN

I'd like to announce the upcoming 5th Annual Pavilion Halloween Costume Party. On October 30th, I will make an announcement and from that point on you will be allowed to register additional "costume accounts", and use then in the general discussion areas. Forum rules apply as far as content, behavior, and spamming (don't spam). The staff will not disclose the identities of any costume accounts, but your main account will recieve infractions for any rules that you break with a costume account.

When registering costume accounts, try to put some thought into them to make it more fun for yourself, and everyone else. You will have to mark the account as a costume account, which will be a checkbox during registration.

Costume accounts are not allowed outside of general discussion.

On the afternoon of November 1st, all costume accounts will be deleted and all topics created by costume accounts will be archived in the Greatest Hits forum, alongside the others from previous years.

You do not have to reveal which costume accounts were yours, and if someone guesses, you don't have to confirm it.

Now, the normal stuff.

• Eternal Grace (RPGMXP) - Art and stuff!
• Josh's Adventure (RPGM1) - Magcon demo is done
• Soul Weaver (RPGM2) - Questions are answered!
• Survival 2 (RPGM1) - A multiplayer mode is revealed
• Wavelengths Games - He gives updates on his projects.
• Playing Daniel's Quest III - 1ce continues his playthrough of the game.
• XP or VX? - Moneyman wants to know.

No general stuff this time, because this post is huge enough already.

I'm really interested myself to see who's entering these contests, and to play some of the games. Have any submissions come in yet? Y'all who are crunching to finish your entry, speak up!!

I've taken a pass on this pair of contests, but I'm hoping to enter next year's "Anything Goes". If my XP fervor remains as strong as it's been the past couple weeks, I think there's a good chance of it.

I'm adjusting to my new work schedule - 3 Jobs is a LOT!!

I'll see if I can make time to finish up Videogamedrome...

I'm kind of close, but I'm also years out of practice and can't figure out how I did half of what's in there! Still - if I get the time, I'll try.

I can't justify asking for an extension until and unless I can say I'll have a finished product should the extension be given. Right now I am not sure I can finish it at all - let alone by any arbitrary date.

Extensions? I am not sure on that yet. If I do need one, a week extension at most. It's early so I'm not sure on that.

I've been playing around with an idea for a very small project for the Anything Goes, but after the last contest I've kind of realized it's more important to make the game for yourself than to do it for a contest. I'm going to make sure I really want to follow through with this idea before I do any work.

I'd feel like a complete putz asking for an extension for something I've not yet started, and even if I did start, would probably pull my typical modus operandi and not bother finishing it.


I'm thinking of working on something tonight. I've been in the right creative mood for this for the past two days. If I do, it'll be short. Not a garbage game per se, but something following my recent interest in how I'd like to make games, and what I want them to convey.


Not gonna put forth anything more for now, however, as none of it'll probably come to fruition, anyway.

So, I think I may have to formally request an extension. For the Anything Goes anyway. If you do, I believe only a week or two will suffice.
