5 dollar Civ4? Maaan, that's kinda tempting. Though I have the feeling the bundle will probably drop in price more than the individuals, so maybe I should just wait for that to go on a super-sale.

Jesus Christ the new $5 list is pure sex.

        BioShock
        Sid Meier's Pirates
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (includes Escape From Butcher Bay Remake)
        Saint's Row 2
        MLB 2k9
        STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
        Frontlines: Fuel of War
        Thief: Deadly Shadows
        Serious Sam Gold
        Max Payne 2

Only Saint's Row 2 is below average (the PC port is horribly unoptimized). If you don't take advantage of these deals you're dumb. I've already got my eye on Dark Athena, Thief, and Serious Sam.

I'm shooting for Dark Athena, Thief, and BioShock. I wasn't sure if the SS game was any good.

            Wait, why shouldn't I get Saints Row 2? {:c

Everyone says it plays horribly on the PC. Someone reviewed it and said that their machine, which could easily run Crysis: Warhead, struggled to play the game at above 20 FPS.

Grand Theft Auto IV and Saint's Row were terribly ported. If you don't have a quad core and 1gb of video memory you won't be able to run it at a decent speed period.

Anyways, Serious Sam is what Doom 3 should have been and it's pretty much the spiritual successor to Duke Nukem 3D. You have huge, well designed levels with literal hordes of enemies running at you, a bunch of guns, tons of ammo, humorous one-liners and pop culture references. Go nuts.

                      This looks very tempting.

                      Has anyone used this service?

Does it work well? Are there any limitations on holding your copy on multiple computers, or any particularly onerous extra software installed on your computer like I've heard Steam does?

I already bought 2 games. They have a download manager you can use but otherwise it's incredibly straightforward with no real issues. They give you your keys after puchasing and they can be accessed from your account at any time. You can redownload however many times you like to wherever you like. Simple as that, really.

the only thing steam forces on you is steam.

I've had nothing but good experiences with D2D. The download manager is easy to work and it's very simple to get your game at any time, even if you've uninstalled it or purchased years ago. You really just log into your account and click the download button.

Edit: Oh, and I haven't played many of the games listed, but Bioshock and Saints Row 2 are both worth the five bucks if you don't have them on a console.

When D2D first sprung up about 5 years ago they had this retarded rule where you could only activate a game three times before buying a new license.

They got rid of that almost immediately when they realized nobody bought their crap. They've now become my second favorite digital distributor right behind Good Old Games.
