Should I download the trial versoin of RPG Maker XP, or will I start a game, get into it, then realize that it doesn't include enough features?

And what about the trial period? After 30 days, do I lose everthing?

I'm guessing you still keep your trial version and all your projects after the first 30 days, it just refuses to work until you pay your 60 dollars.

More likely you'll get to the end of the 30-day trial and cry your eyes out because you don't have the means to buy it (Either the credit/debit card to pay for it, or the $60 for it).

It's like a highly sophisticated version of RPGM1 with far greater customizability both in graphics and in control over the core game mechanics. It's extremely easy to use, has just about everything you ever could want for any 2D RPGMaker, and comes with an actual programming language, so you can probably customize this in ways even RPGM2 couldn't.

Simply, it's easier than most other RPGM's, and you can make your game with far more flexibility than any console RPGM.

You could still download RPG Maker XP and play around with it. Anything you do will be saved in your session file, so as long as you don't delete it you can start making your game again once you have $60. You can remove RPG Maker XP from your hard drive to save room and keep the game file for as long as you want. Nothing will happen to it unless you do something to it.

You can also use the RGSS file to run your game or anyone elses for as long as you want. This file is free. Only the RPG Maker XP program itself requires payment to run (after the trial period ends, that is).

I'm pretty sure registry keys that stay on your computer forever prevent you from using something - even by uninstalling/reinstalling - after the expiration date has passed.

Shell out the $60, Mystic. In my opinion it is $60 VERY well spent. We should be grateful that we CAN legally buy/own it in the US.

In order to start a new free trial you'd have to wipe your hard drive completely every time. You're a lot better off just paying the $60. Besides if anyone at the Pavilion knew about it you'd be lynched.

I know, I know...I'm kidding. I know that I'd have to completely wipe my hard drive. That's not something I'm willing to do.

So, I guess I save up $60 to buy it.
