I would like to know what reputation is used for, how I obtain it, and how to give to people

Click on the scales below a person's avitar to give it.
Others can do the same to give it to you.

Reputation System
Example: I have 532 Rep points, you get your first gold gobli at 500, every 100 is a red gobli.
I vote that when you get to 500 all your red ones disappear and theres only 1 gold gobli, and when you get 1000 you get the elusive "platinum" gobli

Okay. I had a look back at my control Panel at a box calle "Latest reputation recieved". On the side, it says "11 point(s) total". in the box is the content
'Thread, Date, Posted by, Comment", in which "Geek Mythology, 10-17-2007 08:44 A.M., JPS, Just because." It was kind of confusing to me.

I gave you a rep point just because you said something I liked, cant remember what, you can leave rep comments also, if you click on the scale at the bottom left of a post it will allow you to rep someone.

Yes, the goblis tell how much rep you have
If you try to give yourself rep it will only tell you how much rep youve recieved for that post.
Go into CP and click on the post name where I gave you rep, itll take you to that post, then click on your scale and itll show you what reps people left for you, if theres none itll say something to the effect of "You have not recieved any rep for this post" or something.

Positive rep is a way for people to show they approve of each other for usually stupid reasons.

yea, i dont mind if people read my comments too, they probably talk about it in private anyway. well, they at least point out the many spelling mistakes and argue about how much they hate trying to read my words.
though it hasnt been released yet, by my performance this costume party you would never know which was me. just because my quick typing has garbage accuracy, doesnt mean i am a dud.Comment
