    RPGM4 Wishlist

Just curious, if RPGM4 was released on either the PS2 or PS3, what would you want incorporated into the game? I'm sure theres been a topic on this already but I have never seen it

I would personally want something similar to anime maker on RM1, something so I can make my own items

And 2d characters that matches up with their 3d models

And a in-game clock that 3 has where you can set intervals for the passage of time, 3 just seems to go by too slow

And random number generators and mathematical commands

    ok thats all for now

there have been a few topics about this, but those all died about a year ago, so its no big deal making a new one.

I would want it to be simpler then RPG Maker 2, but harder then RPG Maker 3 and less restricting then RPG Maker 3.

So basically RPG Maker 1 but with more types of events you can set up to make your game more complex then you ever could on RPG maker 1.

My biggest wish would be that RPG Maker 4 were coming out for PS2. I'm hoping sometime soon someone from agetec will share any info (if any) there is with our inside man and Pavilion Webmaster himself.

Yeah, I remember one of these topics that ended up in a flame war. Boo Hiss.

        Anyway...

-Having a preprogrammed way to check the quantity of money the player has for use in an event code or as an event trigger

-The ability to use people models as just plain events

Something not intimidating like RPGM2, and something that doesn't look stupid like RPGM3.

I'd like it to be for the PC.

Obright backs out of the room before saying ANYTHING about the graphics of RM2...

Oh, and I wish RM4 would have a customisable in-game automap function, and more customizable hero/enemy models, and portraits.

Thanks Valk, I was expecting to get hashed on about making a topic like this

That is a HUGE setback for RM3, Just to create a decent town takes about 20% of your character limit, also if you have more then 3 people moving at once it lags like crazy That currency check thing is a good idea

Honestly I like Ryners idea, a PC version would be nice, complete with downloadable plug-ins and libraries, but I don't think that will happen But if it does go to a console, hopefully it will be for PS2, as I don't have $600 to shell out for a PS3

I don't like RM2's graphics, I never got into the "Game Boy RPG" look, and I don't think I ever will, maybe one day I'll suck it up and learn it

I wouldnt mind being able to change parameter names like you could in 1, I found that quite useful in a lot of my games.

By the way a little off topic, I played RM1 yesterday and wow! I don't know how I managed to play that game, it took like 20 minutes to build a town with 2 houses, and it looked horrible

                    LOL!!...ok...

I was just so glad that I could finally see my characters in battle that I really didn't care...I guess. Actually...I kinda LIKE the graphics in 3.

and they called him "Caciss the instigator of the flame war in the new RPG Maker 4 topic"

                      - being able to import pictures would be nice

                      - a fully customizable music aspect

                      - being able to change the sound effects of the attacks during a battle

I just think RPGM works better in 2D, I can't imagine the game ever not looking silly in 3D.

I don't want any flaming to happen.

I think the 3d system in rpg maker would look okay if they added more features then just medieval things...I mean...come on....a scroll?

Maybe have sub-categories like "Metal", "Electronic", "Appliances" something to make it seem more realistic, something like GTKRadiant for Quake 3, if any of you have ever seen that

I was joking around with you Caciss.

I must admit I'm really partial to RPG Maker 1's graphics. I like the old school feel of the RPGs I grew up with, honestly. My PS2 doesn't play my RPG Maker 1 disk anymore though, so I can't enjoy it.

Anyway, seeing as how the last two have been 3D, I think it would be really hard for them to not have RPG Maker 4 in 3D.

Why is it no one can play their RPG1's on PS2? I can just fine

A backwards compatibility option on 4 would be awesome, but theyd have to completely overhaul the graphics throughout all 3 games, so I dont think thats likely
