Re: Happy Birthday, RPG Maker Pavilion

    I joined the Pavilion early-2002.

I wish I could find my original post. My first post at the Pav linked so far was a post asking for opinions of my first demo (which actually is still here, albeit maybe slightly updated). However, I do believe my REAL first post was at the alternate Pav that we switched between. Anybody have a link to that?

I think that the Pavilion was actually my second choice for RPGM hangouts. Prior, I went to RPG Maker Garden, though I'm not sure I was an active member there, as I looked up the RPG Maker community just in time for the Garden to shut down. At that point, the Mag was too ugly to stand, so I chose to come here (it was moddeled after RPGM1's menu at the time). Now, I post more at the Mag than the Pav, 'cause I always seem to make a fool of myself or get into arguments here. The RPGM sections seem to be a safe haven for me, though.

Apparently, when I started out, I made a lot of posts asking what people liked, whether I was mentioning my game ideas too much, and things like that. I just wouldn't shut up. Also, I apparently made a topic requesting to use the blind date mini-game in my game.

Eventually, though, I was found trustworthy enough to hold all the games from the Pav during an update/fix in 2003. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to save all the descriptions. It also caused a bit of trouble when my mom found a file called "Michael's Homosexual Adventures"...

Also, "The Spiteful Dead" used to be called "Berton 1", if this topic where I offer to review games is any indication. Wonder if I should add those to my LP queue...

And, I wrote an article for IGN Insider. Please ignore my real name. Reality is reality and this is the internet. :P

Finally, I'd like to take this moment to remember Sir Sniffy, the most bestest sprite artist the console RPG Maker community has ever seen.

Thanks. Funnily enough, the Pav was also the first place I heard about the dark side of the furry fandom.

Apparently I started posting around November of 2001. My first topic was called Can I get a Dave Carter?.

I'm happy to report that I now know how to send an email attachment, and if I had to send TWO attachments, I wouldn't consider breaking it up into two different emails. Computers are hard!

I joined on March 11, 2001. The date is easy to remember since it's exactly 6 months before 9-11.

Re: Happy Birthday, RPG Maker Pavilion

After 1 1/2 years of lurking on this site, I joined here November 20, 2007, when I was 12. I joined mostly after reading about Simple Man's antics and Wavelength and Obright's game ideas. Then, after several months, I attempted to make a few games, all of which have been recycled and edited into the CORE Chaos series. I talked to my friend xCifer666x (shocker that I have friends, isn't it), asking himif he was interested in my game ideas. And he was, and wanted to add some characters to it, so that it would translate into a game more effectively. Also, I did some research for my games by looking at Ivan Rosenguard's project "The God Gene". Another memorable thing here was viewing Draygone's LP's for the first time with my younger annoying brother Captain Falcon. He was immediately turned off by Draygone's voice, but I continued to watch (much to my brother's dismay). I continued to watch these videos, and looked them up on Google, and that's when I found out about the furry fandom (again, much to my brother's dismay). And... I was hooked. I remember the Super Mario Bros. cake for the Pavilion's 9th birthday. I also remember the names I've had, starting with zephyrking35shuckle (how tacky!), then with Chrysalon (there was some random French chemical company, and it sounded cool.), and then with Catastrophe (because I took Greek classes over the summer.). And soon, I'll have a new name, Eschaton Orochi (it has to do with Cifer: The Awakening and my fursona...).

                            And, well, C'est mon histoire.

And, I'm here to stay (again, much to my brother's dismay). You're stuck with me...

                            FOREVER.
