My girlfriend's over today. She just came upstairs with a package asking why it was addressed to "Coco Ryan (my last name)".

I assume RPGD wanted it to say coconut and either didn't have enough space or thought that would be too weird. I told her it was probably just a shipping code or something, but I was laughing inside.

Anyway, thanks bud! The game actually looks pretty interesting.

Are any of the monsters considered "rare", since they arent unlocked via disc anymore?

Well, the locked monsters are a bit trickier to find than the normal ones, and can only be obtained via the Magic Spell regen method, which will become accessible once you unlock a monster. There's also the bizarre secret breeds.

Darn you Pavilion and getting me to try out new, interesting games. I just went to the nearest Gamestop and I now have my own copy of the game.

First Rancher title. Should be interesting to see where this goes.

I just got mine~ I didn't realize that my first monster's only move required 60 guts though and wound up tying my first match.

...It was considered a loss.

Go to the tech/talent menu and add any other moves you've got. You should have at least one basic tech.

I dumped the little guy into the lab and got a Panda instead. I'll heed those words, though.

Just got my copy today. Having a lot of fun with it. Managed get to Rank C at nine months with my Shadow Mage (an Abyss with a deviatation that I forgot the name of.) Rank C matches are pretty difficult and I actually forfietted an entire tournament. Finally managed to clear rank C at 1 year 8 months. Also managed to beat the Rising Dragon tournament at 1 year 10 months - because I used a Dragon Scale beforehand.

Thanks a million for this one, RPGD. It's a blast.

For people further along in the game than I am, here is a list of words for monsters I can't create in magic spell mode:

Also - could anyone give me a more indepth explanation of errantry? I tried it twice and only wound up with some random items. It sounds like some plot specific bits happen there or something ("even solve mysteries") but I'd like to know more details before I have my monster run around not listening to me for 1000g.
