    No Country for High Wind

i didn't see a topic for this yet, so i thought i'd put it out there.

"No Country for Old Men" is probably the best movie in theatres at the moment, and thus deserves discussion. Anyone else seen it?

It looks like a movie that would either be very good or very bad.

Re: No Country for High Wind

Okay, I'm not going to over-hype it so I'll just make sweeping comments that explain why I like it.

The writing is impeccable. The film is like a character study. Every line of dialogue, interaction, and reaction is written perfect and full of meaning.

The editing is amazing. They don't overexplain anything and give the audience just the right amount of information to put the pieces together. The tension they create is incredible.

The acting is great. Everyone should win a frikkin' oscar in this film.

It's dark and unrelenting. They're not spoonfeeding anyone or sugar coating anything.

There are moments of pure character-driven comedy that release the tension every now and then.

                    Go see it.

I'll just echo everyone's sentiments and say it was a fantastic movie worth seeing. It does demand your full attention though so make sure you come prepared.

Sounds like Fargo all over again.
