I don't really read/watch much manga/anime. I read/watch Death Note and Welcome to the NHK. that's about it.

I read anything by Osamu Tesuka. I read the first vollume of Naruto and One Piece but niether made me want to read more. I also read the first vollume of Dr. Slump, which I liked, but never got the second when it was released. Manga really doesn't interest me. I understand the conventions of the form and have moved on. I like Tesuka because I enjoy seeing where these conventions devolped (and he's a brilliant artist and storyteller).

The best Manga I've ever read is Nausicaa. It's easly one of the most amazing comics I've ever experianced. It transends manga conventions and is a true work of art. I put it along Maus, "Jaka's Story" arc in Cerebus, and Watchmen as one of the greatest works in all of comicdom.

I read Osamu Tezuka's Phoenix Vol. 7: Nostalgia. It's a stand-alone work of ART.

Did you ever pick up Cyborg 009 loki? I had a mild intrest in that.. He did the old zelda comics in nintendo power too right? His style is hard to miss ^_^

Yeah I saw a few episodes. It was pretty cool. I probibly would've watched more but my friends said it was stupid and then we got drunk.

Anyone seen the first part of the Death Note movie? It was pretty decent. They changed some stuff from the manga. But I thought they did a good job.

Though I was mad that Misa is a regular Japanese girl. No blonde hair....

Death Note is the first and so far still the only manga I've ever bought. I'd like to see the anime and movie. I only watch anime on TV and now I don't have cable so there is none. I bought a Devil Lady set when ADV had that sale many moons ago just because it was one of the only cheap full sets. I don't think I ever watched past the first episode. Are there DVDs of the Witchblade anime? I want to see that.
