Makes me wonder why its free....wondering if theyre going to slap a price on it in the next few days...seems like a lot of effort spent on making a free game.
What is their angle on doing this? Hmmm.
Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!
I dunno...why do bands like Radiohead put their album on the internet where you can choose the price you pay for it? Because it builds publicity, and this is most likely a limited time only deal for it being free. Some people get it for free, enjoy it, and spread the word. Then due to positive word-of-mouth, others that missed out on the free deal will end up picking it up anyway.
Why make Flash games for free? Why not charge for RPGM games? Some of it is getting your name/name of your dev studio out there to build on name recognition down the line.
My first play-through was on hard mode with Caciss and two rotating pubs. I thought hard might be too much for me but Caciss made a good enough leader that we beat it without too much trouble. Plus I did the same thing as when I was learning TF2 and just played medic and hid behind the experienced people.
There's a lot of variety in the character you use, but there seems to be some items that are necessities every level, which is a bit of a bummer. The learning curve seems a little steep, and I think first-time players will have a lot of trouble if they dont have an experienced player willing to keep them informed.
But it's enjoyable to play, certainly more so if you have some buddies to join you. I'll be putting more time into it for sure. And it's free, so you just can't beat that.

Me and some bros I met playing swarm made it to the last mission on insane, and on one try the land gate had dropped and one of my team mates desperately tried to roll onto the place BUT NOPE DEAD.
