        Interview with Vonwert
        Creator of "Whispers in the Woods"

        Draygone: So, this isn't a video interview like I've been trying to do as of late, but an interview is an interview, and you still get to answer some questions.

        First, it's easy to see where you got the inspiration for this game. But how did you come across the tale of the village that has no graves?

        Vonwert: I actually was researching myths and folkstories, and came across a little story about a village where no one is buried. Which was about cannbalism. Thought it would provide a good story for the game.

        Draygone: What were some of the difficulties with creating this sort of game on RPG Maker 3?

        Vonwert: I had every single problem with the RPGMaker 3 system. From not being able to move objects, to constantly trying to figure out how to keep people from walking in the wrong direction, to coming up with puzzles that would work with the system.

        Draygone: If you could improve on any one thing in this game, what would it be?

        Vonwert: I would improve upon the areas. I would have not made everything a tunnel. I would have done what I did in Siren's Reef and made more interesting enviroments that really pushed the limit of the system.

        Draygone: How'd you come up with all these riddles?

        Vonwert: The riddles were half borrowed from Cursed Desires to save time. Granted they were the puzzles that were bascially text. Since making any complex puzzles was too much of a hassle in 3. No copy and paste function really hurts.

        Draygone: What happened to that random game mentioned during the ending of Whispers (Taboo: The Forbidden Game)?

        Vonwert: The game "Taboo" was another game I was going to make, with multiple paths. But the way I had it plan out, would make it impossible to do in RPGM3 without seeing a lot of "load screen" time. Just wasn't worth it. I still have the game stored in my files for a possible future release.

        Draygone: If you got turned into a skunk plushie, how would you react?

        Vonwert: If I was turn into a skunk plushie, I would hope I was given to a hot girl for a present.

          The good news: I have successfully installed the COM port on this new computer, and my DexDrive works just fine.

          The bad news: DOOR will be the next game I'll be using my DexDrive for.

          The reprieve: It'll be a couple months before I can get back to LPing.

              So what do you think, guys? Should I stick with this topic and see how big it can get before it implodes on itself? Or should I start giving each individual LP their own topic?

                I personally like the one central topic idea.

                If there was enough chatter on individual LPs, I'd say go with individual LP topics, but since that's usually not the case, one central topic is the way to go.

                    I saw the topic of a "Whispers in the Woods" LP and go figure, it was you. Great stuff thus far. I remember being totally creeped out by the atmosphere of this one when I played it.
