Re: Video Game Confessional & Soap Box

Yeah, I kinda built the game around the arcade, and threw together a story with RPG elements cos I figured I had to or I wouldn't win the contest. I like the date sim still. There's a couple jokes I like and I thought the Pokemon ripoff part was pretty well balanced for battles. But a lot of stuff kinda embarasses me when I replay it.

      Some confessions...

I have over 400hours clocked in on my Monster Hunter save.

If Armored Core games had a timer, Id probably have at least 100hours on each one I own. I just sit there for hours mixing up crazy designs and trying them out.

        Loved the Monty Python jokes.

I know what happens when you reach year 9999 in Monster Rancher 2.

The game starts at year 1000. Depending on the breed I'm currently raising, I play for about 1.5-3 game years a day.

          Yes, I am crazy.

To note, when you reach December, week 4 9999, you're brought back to the title screen. To rectify this, you must turn back the clock using a Gameshark.

-I think Bill Gates is the devil.

-First RPG I ever played was Breath of Fire II. I got frustrated at it because I had no idea what to do (now that I look back at that, it seems kind of funny.)

            -I don't care for Wii's controller.

-Once I tried playing Soul Calibur II using a DDR pad (or whatever its called.) Needless to say, I didn't do too well.

-I like Kingdom Hearts *hides from Magus*

Sid Meier's Pirates needs to be released on a console other than X-Box.

I think Remote Control is overrated.
                Damn critics.

I was just thinking about how in Remote Control you could pick what kind of music to play on the date, and one of them was this super goofy music sped up five times to make it sound even goofier. That was hilarious.

                    1) I loved Blind date so much I've been secretly writing an "inspired by" sequel as part of a *HUGE* arcade inside of my insanely large epic game "Esper Quest". (Who knows if I will ever finish this, been working on it since 2002)

So which of us will get their follow up out first, I wonder. Yeah, you can take it as a challenge.

                    2) I wish you would release an update to blind date that is just blind date without the rest of remote control.

I have a couple more confessions to make...

                      -WT* is Wii?

-And I have also played through FF4 without leveling up(that much) and beating the game where my highest character level was 49, and it only took about 24 hours.

-I never traded or sold any of my games except one. I traded BRC for MGS and I still haven't played it yet(that was years ago).

-I beat Battletoads for the NES all the way through once without cheating. I used to be damn good at that game!

-Some popular games that have never interested me: MK, Pokemon, Halo, Super Smash Bros. and all sports games.

-I got 100% on all the GTA games except LCS, which I'm still working on.

-I bought RPGMXP and still haven't done ***** with it.

You do know this qualifies you as a God(ess?), right? The only other thing that beats that is playing through Ghosts and Goblins without dying. I almost did it once... then the Pizza Hut lady bumped me from behind and I hit the red demon at the end

still... ghosts and goblins with 1 quarter.

Oops. I forget that Gwommy sometimes lives in a bubble. I got a lot of explaining to do.

                              I got more:

-I liked "A Boy and His Blob".
-When I was two, I stepped in the Atari (I think) and broke it.
-I can't use the Chrono Cross right and so I never got a good ending to the game.
-I yank and tilt the controller around when playing racing games. (Apparently everyone thinks that's funny.)

That makes me want to confess about some things that I've witnessed:

-Both of my sisters raise the controller up above their heads because they think it makes Mario jump higher!

-A friend (of mine and Funk's) beat me in Tetris Attack. I don't think he knew what he was doing and might have been drunk or high at the time. (Funk, you remember more about that?)

-And my grandma's twin sister can kick my butt in Space Invaders for the Intellivision! For an old person, she sure has good hand/eye coordination. Although, that's the only game that she's good at.
