I wasn't even paying attention to the fact that several of them are based on FF13. All I was seeing was "Final Fantasy" listed a half-dozen times.

Well, if they didn't do stuff like attach the Final Fantasy namesake onto games like 4 Heroes of Light, such titles would never get made. Final Fantasy is a powerful brand name and it moves units.

Speaking of which... I liked XIII and all, but they really need to just do new FFs.

At least they may do what X-2 did and give a different battle system, one that doesn't make people whine so damn much.

I've been hearing back and forth on this, but APPARENTLY Versus XIII takes place in the same universe?!

Anyways, looks like Fabula Nova Crystallis is the giant abortion we all feared it would be, with ONE game of it released three years later to tepid response, another one a friggin' ghost that no one's played and another with its name changed to scrub all association to XIII.
