    It's a western dummy.

I personally never have had any troubles finding enemies yet, since you can usually see smoke from their gunfire.

I was unsure of this game when I first played it too, now that I've finally gotten a day off in almost two weeks, I've played it damn near all day today.

I personally like the combat system, and I also like the lock-on. This game is huge and very expansive, and you are never short on things to do. And as far as open-world games go, this is probably the most believable game setting I've played.

The music is pretty rad too, western inspired, but more modern. Not overly bombastic either.

I just hogtied a guy, and he fell on the fire and died a screaming death. Then I shot his dog.

Ditto. I figure before I head South of the Border I'll try to complete some outfits and ambient challenges.

Oh god there are achievements and rewards for Poker and Blackjack. I'm screwed.
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

Man, when I first rode into Mexico and this song started up out of nowhere, well it was good. Memorable moment for sure.

I agree with Caciss that the Rage engine in general is really, really starting to show its age and the controls weren't even exceptional in GTAIV. I rarely find myself using the auto-cover stick button and instead just crouch behind barriers myself. Freeplay online is an absolute mess of people shooting each other for no reason. You can never tell if someone is friendly so you just kind of shoot everyone you see out of fear for dying and this attitude carries on to everyone else. You could meet someone who's potentially friendly but hell if I want to wait 30 seconds loading the game because some asshole who wasn't ends up knifing me. Hardcore mode is a little better because there's no gay ass auto aim but that's a downright shotgun fest.

Singleplayer is decent. The game suffers from the trademark Rockstar Pacing Syndrome where the first third of the game is seemingly pointless chore-like missions that build up the characters before going hog wild and throwing you in a completely new area with yet another set of characters. I've reached the point where random events have become predictable and the distractions aren't really interesting enough (horseshoes and blackjack? *yawn*). The focus is a lot tighter and they reduced the amount of overall traveling you had to do in GTA games (holy ****, CHECKPOINTS IN MY ROCKSTAR GAME??? NO WAY!) but it feels like the game totally blows its load in the first 5 hours and the rest is just downhill.

Great atmosphere and everything but so far Just Cause 2 is my pick for "Sandbox Game of the Year" award.

I agree, it's a little hard to tell who you're supposed to be shooting at. and it's also hard to shoot while you're on your horse. and it's hard to herd cattle. but other than that, this game is the tits!

my God, the soundtrack. the soundtrack. I've never thought, "hey, I want to buy the soundtrack to this game" in my entire life, because I'm not a huge geek, but hot damn, I need to drive around in my car listening to this beast.

got to Mexico earlier today and was very surprised to hear a song by Jose Gonzalez play! and a song I'd never heard before, too! bravo, Rockstar.
