    Red Dead Redemption

Since we don't have a topic for this... well, now we do!
I can hardly wait for Tuesday myself~

Looks like the PS3 version gets some exclusive stuff - hooray!:

I already bought my copy from Amazon and got the $20 gift card.
There's still time to get it!

I preordered the 360 version from EB Games.

    I.

    Get.

    Squat.

(Except maybe some horses that'll pop-up.)
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

Seems pretty minuscule. Looking forward to this game the most this year. Hope it doesn't suffer from GTA4's bland mission variety.

I will be getting the Xbox 360 version. Won't be able to play it until I get back from vaction on the 20th.

Had lots of fun with Red Dead Revolver, although these are essentially made by different developers so it's hard to say how much affection for one will carry over to the other. This is one I'm watching for, but after having no desire whatsoever to go more than a couple hours into GTA 4 it seems like the prudent thing to do is pick this one up used. Besides, all these different preorder bonuses....it's crazy. Prefer not to worry about it.

Will be looking forward to seeing impressions, though.

So apparently this game has an achievement for hogtying a woman to railroad tracks and waiting for a train to run her over.

I figured it was GTA4 with a new coat of paint; but I'm pretty interested in it now just after hearing you can do that!

Was thinking about getting this sometime. Is it a direct sequel to the first game, or is it a new story? I never got around to playing the original.

I can't wait for this to be released, I'll be playing the hell out of this.

Preordered for PS3 at gamestop, I get an outlaw outfit~

It has nothing to do with Revolver, except for a similar name.

It wasn't that good either of what I played of it. This one looks 100x better (it is also closer to GTA which you may or may not care about, as Revolver wasn't sandbox gameplay and this one is).

Remember when Capcom was still the one making the first game? Its why your characters face looks like hes right out of Capcoms Resident Evil and Monster Hunter artwork.

Although Rockstar did do a pretty good job finishing the first game.

I haven't gotten to play this, but it sounds great judging from what I've heard of it.

As for GTA with a paint job, only in that it is a sandbox game. It features a good/evil morality scale (like Fable and KOTOR). You can be honorable by completing things and arresting criminals non-lethally (you can target body parts to take in bad guys without actually killing them).

I started playing my roommate's copy. It looks really good. I mean, I always let visuals slide with GTA, because so much time has to go into the sheer size of the world, but all the models and environments and lighting in Redemption looks pretty great!

I was hoping there'd be more of a BANG HERE'S THE ACTION kinda thing at the start, but they gotta barrel run you through the tutorial first. Not such a bad thing. Seems like you get rewarded for all kinds of stuff, and getting around is pretty easy.

I was gonna have a duel with some ugly guy, but then the music started up and the screen went to black... and nothing happened.

                        BUGS!!!

I played FFXIII after that. I'll check it out again later.

                            This game seems like Gun.
