That is why I asked the question Magus, to see if we agreed because we had both played the game, or there were different reasons that i may not have necessarily agreed with. I was not accusing you of talking out of you butt...which in and of itself is an enemy i should have expected in Castlevania by now (or maybe Soul Sacrifice), LOL.

A lot. Mainly, you can't play it. Also: smaller city sizes than the SNES game, always-online DRM, cities aren't saved on your machine but rather on EA servers and servers are down. So, yeah. You can't play it.

EA's selling a $60 beta test. This is like Diablo III Part Deux.

Recently finished playing Spec Ops: The Line. I was actually impressed with this game. On first glance it appears to be just some military shooter, but it goes a bit deeper than that. It is kind of hard to describe the emotions that the game brought out in me. Quite a few psychological aspects going on even reflected by the gameplay. The big example, at the beginning of the game the execution command was to swiftly take them out of the enemy out of commisson, but latter on when the protagonist's psyche begins to snap he will brutally murder them. In the last couple of chapters if you die or something when the screen loads, along with the usual informative text there are messages that display that make you contemplate what you have done. The game has one event that will stick with me for a good long time. *** SPOILERS ***
When you blast an enemy camp with mortars. Once all the enemies are down you are walking past the men desperately clinging to life and then when you are done walking that path... you witness that your little assault scorched a large group of civilians. The civies that stood out the most and what truelly stuck with me was the charred remains of a mother holding her child.

I felt like I was getting PTSD after witnessing that.

From what I gather, Origin servers can't handle the load, always on DRM and tiny sizes inhibit cool expansion like SC2k are the complaints I see the most.

And what about the rumors that the Xbox 360's successor will require a constant internet connection, and will block used games?

That seems like a clusterf*** waiting to happen, kinda like this SimCity debacle.


Edit: Yeah, the story/psychological impact of Spec Ops: The Line is what encouraged me to pick it up at Wal-Mart for $15 on Black Friday. Now it's free for PS+. I'm not upset, though. If I'd shelled out $40 for it, though...

It's a game that had been in the back of my mind for quite some time, so I finally pulled the trigger for $15. It's supposed to be like the Apocalypse Now of videogames.

This just in, Xbox's next iteration will have standard top of the line ports on its motherboard and an easy-open casing so that the system can continuously compete with other gaming consoles via simple upgrades to its hardware!

MS is calling it, a Personal Console.
