      Re: LittleBigPlanet

Online my level is failing to load. Offline I edit it and play around with it just fine, but when signed in it says fail to load. I was having problems with it this morning. But I figured it was just the server or something, but I just got off of work a bit ago, and it's still doing it. And what I've been reading at work, this only happens when your level is being moderated. But mine isn't even published yet.

Has anyone else had this problem? Know a solution? I've dumped hours into this level so far, and It's not worth it if I can't share it with my friends. And it's definitly not worth doing it all over again.

Apparantly MM are being a bunch of Nazi's and just deleting levels that poeple are reporting having any kind of questionable content. Even that amazing God of War Demon Skull level was deleted. This is sooo goddamn ridiculous.

My guess is things like this will clear themselves up after a few months..

To compare it to a tired PS3 joke, you're paying money for the game now for the potential it has for the future, not for what it can do at present.

          Meh.

Where is the potential if MM is driving it's own game into the ground?

                Re: LittleBigPlanet

Maybe the beta wasn't long enough (time-wise) for all the kinks to be worked out in terms of online co-op and uploading levels AND still have it out for the holiday season. Not defending Sony or MM here, merely conjecturing. Honestly, it's the same with early adopters of a LOT of electonics-based stuff, including some video games. You are paying for the priviledge to be one of the "exclusive" few, and in reality, you are playtesting/ product testing for ver 2.0.

With most games, it's not too big of an issue. But it seems to me with the scope that LBP entails, it almost seems unrealistic to expect that EVERY kink is gonna have been worked out on release.

As for the "censorship" you are talking about, I can't comment on that. But it does seem as if Sony might be behind it to a certain extent, because, even though now, LBP seems to be catering to a semi-hardcore (not in the Halo/FPS/gore sense of the word) audience, with the way it's being marketed, Sony appears to want to make Sackboy the Mario that Rachet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, etc, never quite were.

Once again you're overthinking it perv.

My only problem with the game lies with that levels poeple have spent hours creating, are getting deleted. I can't even access my own. It's all very fustrating.

I can understand if the levels have alot of explicit material and language, but 9 times out of 10 that isn't the case.

Most of my favorite levels are already gone.

That excuse doesnt work, there was no lag in the beta. there was no "failed to load stage" errors either.

and that was with about 100,000 people in the beta.

I played Gears of War 2 and had no online trouble what so ever.

I will bet you there are A LOT more than 100,000 people playing the game right now.

Edit: Also, in case anyone hadn't noticed, there are two free add-ons for LBP in the Playstation Store right now. A space costume and a Halloween mask.

I was adding some touch ups to my level today (basically just added some seaweed at the very end), and after I published it and replayed it, I noticed a whole section nowhere near where I edited became unglued, which in turn, killed a few doors with pistons and switches. Spent nearly an hour trying to glue everything back the way it was before. This game definitely has its bugs.

I wrote an angry letter to Media Molecule and Kotaku. And Kotaku listened. They listeeened and made a story.

EDIT: I do hope they fix this issue, and soon. Otherwise LBP will be a gigantic flop and there's no way in hell I'm going to buy it.
