For years, that was the only way I could beat/play certain sections of Shining Force II as a kid. I was really bad at Strategy games. }}}:c

I can't remember the code off hand, but I'm sure if I had a genesis pad in front of me I'd be able to pull it off.

And then you have to hold start while you're loading your game to activate the cheats.

I could tell you if I had my Wii. But my brother's got it right now. And he's in Oklahoma. And I'm in Oregon.

When I was young and had more patience I could get to the third level reliably (let's say about 70% of the time) without using the code. And to the fourth level maybe 1-5% of the time. I couldn't beat the game without it though. I thought it was harder to be successful with two players, but way more fun.

It was only harder if your second player was worse than you. My buddy and I used to play the game all the way through without the code.
