The end result is the same though isn't it? Aya's soul dies, Eve's body dies; Eve lives on in Aya's body. How does Aya know killing her would solve all of this? How did she come back at the perfect moment to kill Hyde? How did Kyle know Eve was in Aya's body? I don't understaaaaaand.

Aya dieing in Eve's body is not the same as Eve forcibly entering her body and shattering her soul(apparently?). How Aya knows all that? I"m assuming because of her connection to the Twisted.
Aya came back and killed Hyde, because she wasn't dead. She was wounded and assumed unconscious.
How does Kyle know that? I can only haphazard a guess; due to his past involvement as a Highborn.

The game has lots of problems, I won't go over them SirTmagus' review in the Imaginari discusses those perfectly. I really wouldn't recommend it to all but diehard PE fans.
The story is interesting, but only if you're willing to overlook the gameplay related problems. Like FF13 you have to invest effort into the game(via files and emails) to really comprehend any of the story.
I said it once, I'll say it again. Third Birthday was designed to appeal to Monster Hunter players, therein lies the problem.

SUPPOSEDLY Aya came back to life because the Twisted, being splintered pieces of her soul, made a time travelling device through the Grand Babel specifically so they could return to their origin: Aya. Aya wakes up because the Twisted succeeded in returning to her.
The Twisted returned to their origin, awakening Aya, and that means her soul isn't shattered anymore. Humpty Dumpty's back together again. Which means no more Twisted in the future. Which means everything is fine, right?
My question is: Why does she have to die if her soul is fine?

Oh, that makes more sense then what I thought! Ha. Eve's body would degenerate(and form Highborn) if a Soul wasn't within it when it died.

I really don't see that, though. You said the storyline is just like Monster Hunter... what? No. Gameplay doesn't feel even remotely like it either.
If anything it feels like it's trying to be like Gears of War. Except enemies take full clips of ammo and bosses take every goddamn bullet plus an ammo refill.

Large monsters, with a focus on pattern recognition followed by bouts of damaging the boss. Sounds and feels EXACTLY like monster hunter to me.
DNA chips are equivalent to cutting up monsters for parts.
Weapon 'customization'.
I rarely ever used cover. And on the higher difficulties you don't use cover, since dodging/strafing is infinitely easier.

Soo, Eve's soulless body was going to spawn the High Ones either way... Looking back, Hyde apparently says so.
Why? What is wrong with her that would make that happen?

That ambiguity is because of the break between PE1 and 2. *** SPOILERS ***
Eve is different from Aya despite being a clone(and in her body), its why shes so much more meek and inexperienced. Eve wasn't as gifted in controlling her powers as Aya. I assume without a guiding sentience, Eve's body mutates.
If they were allowed to actually tie mitochondrial monsters to third birthday, I think the story would be much more sensible.

Except in Monster Hunter, you're actually doing things. Moving around, repositioning yourself, feeling each swing of the weapon cut at the monster's hide. There's real weight and heft to all of your actions. You're not just holding two buttons and 'looking at monsters' for their HP bars to deplete. But yeah, it's definitely like Monster Hunter with inflated hp values and bosses that take forever to kill but it's much different when the actions you take to damage them have no feel to them whatsoever. In which case they entirely missed the mark by failing to understand what even makes MH click. And by that token, you're right for saying the game fails by trying to be like MH but it's a very misguided adaptation of it's strengths.
DNA chips are just these weird random things you get from diving into things that work like Fusions in SMT games. Weapon parts in Monster Hunter are collected and then forged into a new item. Both games give you 'rewards' when you kill an enemy, but they're really not similar at all. The thing I'll say that 3rd Birthday does better than MH is that these chips are intrinsically valuable (albiet it in a partially-hidden and convoluted way) and don't require a shopping list of other things in order to be useful.

Mutating a crazy on use ability was exciting, but spamming the "retry" button was not.
Second play through I had 3 active abilities, one which let me kamikazee during Liberation, another that increased liberation time, and another that leeched health.

Made it half-way through Episode 2 before I finally threw in the towel. I'd rather write a paper than play this piece of **** any longer, and I commend the Torres Trio for having the fortitude to see this game to the end.
EDIT: I'd also like to point out that I'd just beaten Final Fantasy II. The broken one where you beat up your party members. It was more playable than this.
Here's a worthwhile reason to bump this topic. Lantis, the guy from the Mag who is making that epic "Arc Arath" RPGM1 game with Sarah's Knight, has spent the past month or so creating an epic-length review with specific intent of explaining why he thinks Parasite Eve 3 is an abomination. It's finished. It's not spoiler-free. And it's long. In fact, this will probably take up your movie night.
For those of you who watch my LPs, this is why it's been taking so long for me to upload anything. I've spent the past forever working on this review. And I have a new found respect for guys like AVGN who do this on a regular basis. I've always wanted to try my hand at it... and after having done it, I don't think I'll ever do this again.
I was talking in the Mag's chat room earlier today about how long it'll be before Youtube takes this down even though all the footage used was downloaded right off of Youtube its self. So we'll see.
Also, in the review I talked a bit about what to expect from Square in the future. Since then, two more exciting new games are coming out that I didn't get to mention. Those titles are Bravely Default: Flying Fairy and Theatrythm: Final Fantasy. Thanks Square!
Anyways, don't expect anything this long or this heavy in video editing from me ever again. It was way too much work for someone as lazy as myself. And thanks so much for watching it.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
edit: Jesus, I can't do it. The guy's video isn't bad so far, but listening to the voice acting, seeing the game again, the stupid ****ing names, everything, it's like
