It's definitely not what I was hoping for a game called Fallout 3....
....but it looks like it's going to be a great game.
Others have said this, but as petty as it sounds, if they had just called it something like Fallout: Origins (to steal a subtitle) or something, I'd probably be happier. I just hope that the dialogue and speech system is as good and important as it has been for Fallout.
I'm still going to be buying the special edition, because as I said, it looks like it's going to be a great game (and I loved Oblivion). Part of me just wishes that there'd be a sequel in the style of the first two games.
Because it's not at all like Fallout? I know it's crazy of me to care about how the sequel of like my second favorite game of all time is being handled.
I'm looking forward to this game, but the only thing I don't like is that I heard the maximum experience level is 20-something. Is the game really that short?
Despite that minor issue, I'll be getting it. I think my PC can handle it, it can play Oblivion with 1280x1024 resolution on almost all max settings, so I'm hoping they didn't go overboard with poor programming again like Oblivion. (I love Oblivion, don't get me wrong, but the programming was retarded).
Does anyone know when the system requirements or even the game will be released?

Theres word out that modders are dead set on adding in a mod with turnbased gameplay and isometric views if its not in the final game, for the hardcore Fallout fans.
But blah.
I think the game looks kickass. Blasting away raiders in my power armor to rescue slaves while listening to old 50s jazz will be awsome. I wonder if you can gather up a team of NPC buddies to hang out with. Looks like they already have dogmeat though, so maybe you can get more guys.

When I played the Baldur's Gate series (BG, BG2 and BG2: Throne of Bhaal), I played for around 250 hours and only got my character to level 24 or so (I think the cap by TOB was 30 or so). It's entirely possible for a game to be balanced where you're only gaining a level every 5-10 hours and it's still fun.
Game comes out in early October. No system requirements yet.
Hey, Valk, don't put words in my mouth. I never said this will be a bad game, or that it needs to be isometric and turn based. Though I don't see how the modern market and technology has somehow outdated isometric (something Starcraft II and Diablo III both retain) or how it's outdated turn-based gameplay (Final Fantasy Tactics and Civilization still sell ****loads). Give me a break. I just don't see the point of Bethesda buying the Fallout brand and seeming not to care much about the previous games in the series. I'm sure it'll be a fun game, but you can't blame me for being disappointed that it doesn't look like it will live up to what I'd expect out of a sequel to Fallout, something Fallout fans have been waiting for, for a very long time. I'm of course reserving final judgement till I play it, but I'm not very swayed from the gameplay video. I think the game actually looks pretty ugly *fart*
