How come in every topic where there is ANY Sony negativity you always treat it like someone called your mother a whore? It's not a personal attack on you man. No need to feel insulted.

Actually, i wasnt feeling insulted at all, i was just stating a fact, there are a quite a few great games on the system now, but most of them were overshadowed by all of the rampant Sony negativity that was going around up until about Febuary or March of this year.

Because Sony is his uncle and he doesn't want to feel guilty for gargling his balls.

And besides, Microsoft has in fact made a profit on the 360 with Halo 3.

Still, like it or not, Sony doesn't have alot going for it besides MGS4 right now.

Now this is the kind of insult i expect from Bigfoot, kudos to the anti-fanboy initiative, its working wonders!

And Bigfoot, Software and Hardware sales vs Hardware sales alone are a large difference. Especially since Microsoft has had to BUY most of its exclusives, even the timed ones.

And again, PLEASE take a look at some of the upcoming games before making the stupid MGS4 comment.

I share the opinion that RIGHT NOW, there is not a single exclusive game worth owning on the PS3 except for MGS4. But it is an opinion, not a fact.

Perhaps the PSOne, but not the PS2 Valk, atleast I dont remember any game in particular that Sony PAID to have a big exclusive.

SC3 is a strong possibility. the GC version of SC2 was apparently the best selling of all three versions. I can see no reason for namco to make SC3 exclusive to the less powerful PS2, but they did. They did magically happen to create a next-gen looking game on the weakest of the last-gen systems though, and that still shocks me.

Until the introduction of the PS3, sony would also demand that some games have unique features on their platforms, or they'd reject it. as agetec fans know, they also had the wonderful habit of changing their minds about games after giving initial approval, and in doing so damn near destroy companies (shadow tower abyss, and even a few working designs games).

Sony isnt all rainbows and unicorns.

They took a hit and came out on top of the hd-dvd/blu ray format war.

I'd say it was worth it to set a standard for the next gen.

They havent really set a standard yet though. another format could come along thats actually affordable to average consumers.

Wow, i didnt know about SC3, but that is kinda understandable, of course the ONLY reason the GCN version sold the most was because of Link, but if there were any other paid exclusives on the PS2, there couldnt have been many, otherwise you guys would have been all over it.

I know Sony has kinda sucked when it came to Agetec, although i'm not sure any other companies have been better.

I'm not really trying to defend Sony here, but i dont get the "no games" comments. If you count exclusives Sony still has a really good selection of games, and if you dont count exclusives, they have even more, many of which are now turning out as good or better than their 360 counterparts.

Most of the reasons for people acting the way they do when it comes to the PS3 is perception, which USED to be a bad thing for Sony, but perceptions have changed, many great games are here, sometimes it just takes people opening their eyes, and going back a little bit to find out what they may have missed.

OH, and dont forget Valk, DVD wasnt affordable to the average consumer when it first came out either

No one was *****ing about sony buying exclusives because it's standard practice in the game industry. everyone does it. Which is why it's so odd you seem to hold it against microsoft.

Valk, i dont realy make much of an issue of it, except that it didnt really happen that often in the PS2/Xbox era, except for when it came to MS, they bought exclusives left and right,and still do it.

If Sony did/does do it, they hid the fact well, which apparently is something that MS doesnt do, which is starting to turn people against them, as it is making MS seem desperate now.

Sony, rather than paying the company relaxes licensing fees and other things as incentives. They make it cheaper for their target company to release the game on their system than it would be for them to release it on any other system.
