Re: This hill sure is silent - ZERO HOUR

Same here. I thought about going to a midnight show, but there ISN'T ANY.

I can't stand the thousands of people that are going to see this before me.

I am heading out to see my sister and watch Silent Hill with her on Sat. She hasn't played the video game, but knows the gist of it.

The line went around the block. IMPOSSIBLE to get in.

Good for the movie, BAD FOR ME.

Serenity had similar lines for advance screenings and it bombed.

Im pretty sure that's because it was a Sci-Fi movie that wasn't very memorable.

Is that a . meaning, "Gee, you are brilliant and I have nothing else to add" or...?
'Cause I can only remember one of the characters names... Washburn. That's both because I had a friend with that last name and because he got impaled (not the friend, the character).

I respectfully disagree with your decision.

SO. Silent Hill wasn't screened for critics. Because it was... too awesome?

Various misshapen horrors reveal themselves, including one guy with what looks like a fireplace grate on his head. But there are actual people in town, too, led by someone named Cristabella (Alice Krige), who has the fanatical religiosity you only see in teenage horror films.
People from Lodon just don't get it, I guess.
Witless, soulless and joyless, it displays its video game origins throughout.
                          Them's fighting words!

Religiosity? Is that even a word?

Anyway, I'm going to enjoy the movie despite these people. If the movie isn't to my taste I'll just start a riot. So either way I'm fine.
