    Re: The census

Uh, he didn't do any of those things.

Except for proving himself a great human being.

Which he does all the time.

Maybe I should preface this with I respect and honor all who have died for my freedom, and am thankful for the beneficial products of military research, but, aside from Defense, today's military and wars are wasteful and unproductive.
He called the United States military wasteful and unproductive to society. He never said anything about when, or who. He just said the entire military, which involves people, and beneficial military research. He could have made the respect and honor part a prefix and I wouldn't have assumed.
What's the point of having an emergency response system if you can't provoke the wrath of God?

      Re: The census

I actually kinda enjoy your posting here, Pinhead, because pretty much everything you post is dimetrically opposed to the views and beliefs of I'd say 85-90% of the regulars here, and simple man is no longer around.

Pinhead takes great offense to criticism directed at the military because there are regular joes in it and it's done some good stuff before, y'know.

Sorry guys, Marcus just made some extreme comment, so I made a reference to this ridiculous thread:
              http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/...121#post540121

But then my plan backfired and Kire's census thread itself became ridiculous.

                Re: The census

I'm torn on my opinion of the average solider.

I have personal friends in the military. One was on the ground doing rounds in hostile cities in Iraq for about a year. I respect the job that they do, how dangerous it is, and the fact that they think they're fighting for the betterment of the average American and the protection of our freedoms.

Unfortunately, they're not. Many people join the military because its their only option or their only way to pay for college, and I sympathize. But at the same time, if everyone refused to enlist...well, there wouldn't be a million dead Iraqis.

Please remember that the world revolves around yourself and everything you say and do is 100% correct. Do not place yourself in the shoes of others and don't think for a second that the man in charge is honestly doing yourself a favor. If it weren't for these ridiculous census' (which by the way are paid for by your taxes) you'd be a richer man capable of spending your pay check on more important things like internet service and video games.

When the US census is mailed to your home, burn it. Do not let the federal government track you or pretend to comprehend your social status. It doesn't matter if your negro, mexican, or white the entire world will become a better place when it understands your inner self and bows to your personal beliefs.

just looked at my W-2 HOLY **** I'M PAYING $350 FOR MEDICARE OMFG GOING BANKRUPT GUYS

edit: holy **** i'm paying $1,500 for social security that is going straight into obama's pockets ARGH DEM DEMOCRATS MAN~!

edit 2: seriously the census is garbage and you shouldn't take the 5 minutes of your life to fill it out. might i instead suggest a dozen more things to do with your five minutes?

                  1: eat a burger
                  2: smoke
3: play the first level of super mario bros. 3
                  4: jack off
                  5: text your friends
6: complain that the government has their hands in your pocket then complain that the government isn't doing enough to keep big corporations' hands out of your pocket
                  7: burn the census
                  8: check your facebook
9: look at the front page of kotaku
                  10: watch an infomercial
                  11: twiddle your thumbs
12: think of a dozen better things to do with five minutes

That's actually true, but I'm not against the census. Its constitutionally mandated for a reason.

Why does the government need to know what race I am?

So about $2000 of your money is going directly to other people. What percentage of your income is that?

Well, that's okay because when you're old, you'll get to live off a percentage of the younger generation's income. Oh wait, the demographic trends in this country virtually ensure that won't happen. Too bad.

                          Re: The census

I just want to tell everyone that I'm now living in a cardboard box. The government literally ruined me and I couldn't afford the mortgage on my $800,000 house or car insurance because I've got 10 tickets and drive a Ferrari. The top shelf vodka is starting to kick in and my $40 a month internet may shut off soon so I just wanted to say that you guys shouldn't fill out the census and don't ever vote. Period.

I mean, what's one person, right? It's not like you're representing anything.

You know, the IRS does accept donations.

Why don't write them a check? Money well spent, right?

I dunno, the IRS may employ average joes like me but I'm afraid my money will go into the government's pocket instead of making the job easier for the people who work there.

Whoops, got into a car accident and I don't have insurance. Hospital bill is $50,000 and I'm broke. Anyone care to donate? No? What does it take, cancer!? **** you too, America!!
