I think I got so surprised by the powerful emotional aspect of the series, it being an over-the-top and fan-servicey mechanime, that I hadn't been expecting it and it affected me all the more so because of it.

But seriously (and I was being serious anyway) I don't think I've seen anything that made shed a single tear. But that doesn't mean that I'm a robot with no feelings. (Or does it? )
Ok, let me rephrase.. I've never seen anything on TV that made me shed a single tear. But that doesn't mean they don't affect me on the inside.

eva is one of my all time favorite animes, and has some emotional parts, especially near the ending or the ending movies themselves.
i dont think ive cried during any anime movie, though there is a few out there that give a somber feeling. other then cowboy bebop, i havent seen a good anime in years. damn i need to borrow my friends dvds of bebop.

Grave of the Fireflies did kinda make me feel horrible for the rest of the day, but I think "The Plague Dogs" edges it out as most soul-crushing animated feature.
