It was funny in CSI where the chef said she'd been trained to use a knife in the CIA .
These videos have been going around for a while now. I found a good article that argues against the authenticity of them. Here it is.
** The linked article contains links to at least one such video, but the video is not directly available on that page. I'm not sure if this goes against rules, but either way consider yourself warned.
Even so, I felt deeply disturbed by the video and even if the animals aren't skinned in THAT brutal of a fashion, I can't imagine any slaughter animal is treated with much respect.
In a lot of ways, I imagine it's just as bad to wear leather, though. I stopped buying leather products two years ago, but I feel kinda bad that I haven't thrown out those that I already had--a wallet, my birks, a jacket I purchased up in florence, giorgio brutinis... damn my inability to throw anything away!
Anyway, I'm not sure where I'm going with that, but the article is a good read.
Is that wrong? You think it might go to my head? What would you have me do, consign them to the afterlife?
The point is a lesson. That's the whole point of any punishment, to scare others into line. I just want them to pay. Just watching that video....
But if you do the same evil thing to them, then you effectively make yourself no better than they are. Shouldn't you be an example? Setting a course different from theirs? Just because they do the wrong thing doesn't mean you in turn need to as well.

Thank you, its like you read my mind.
What seperates the good people from the bad, is that the good people will have those same dark thoughts, but won't act on them.
