View Full Version : Begging for $$$ (commissions for car accident)

I need some money...badly. If you ever wanted a drawing from me, I'll cut you a deal. $15 for sketch, $25 for ink, $35 for colored, up to 2 characters. $5 for every aditional character, $5 for background. I'll draw whatever the hell you want, I just need some additional income.

You see, I got in a car accident this morning that really wasn't my fault. I approached an intersection as it hit yellow, and I decided to go through it since breaking in this weather would be dangerous. Some ninja driver dumbass swerves in front of me from the right, and slams his breaks as the light is still yellow. I brake as well, but I'm not stopping due to the icy terrain. Realizing I might not stop in time, I swerve right into the snow embankment, right into the traffic pole. The pole was fine, and my front right was totalled. Cops wrote me up a ticket for failing to break to avoid an accident (even though my property was the only thing damaged, pole didn't have a scratch), which I'll fight in court, and I have a $500 deductible to pay my car insurance as I wait for a rental as my current one is being fixed.

So, if you ever wanted a pic from me, now is your chance and a chance to help me out as well. If you're interested, drop me a line at eriknovak00@gmail.com or just reply here.

here's some samples. If this is too big lemme know:

Damn, dude. I may take you up on that, actually. It all depends on whether or not we profit on the rave we're throwing this saturday. I think we're going to, so you might be in luck.

I hope you will be - I love your art, and I feel bad for you. :(

Kire, you may want to post some examples of your art. its been years since you showed any off, so many people have no idea that you're a skilled artist.

You helped me out when I needed it, I'm going to contribute what I can, when I can. I won't want any art in return either. I owe you one.

I don't want to give Kire money when he just spent $1200 on two PS3's and buys every game that comes out. The same thing bothers me about Jeroak. Yeah I'm insensative to people I don't know and sometimes even to people I do know. It's why their called your problems.

That being said I would be interested in seeing a quick sketch of what you can come up with for with for a picture of me and superhappyfuncow and inragedcow as the angel and devil standing on my shoulders. I will pay you $50 for all the bells and whistles and something of a decent size. Like hang it on my wall size. If I would need to pay more for this we can discuss the possibility on aim or something.

That being said isn't it isn't it convient that your $500 "deductable" just happens to be the same amount as the cost of his and his wii's.

I really am sorry that you got into an accident, but damn man I live in Texas and even I know you don't try to beat the light when it's snowing.

Living in Vermont, I can tell you braking when the roads are icy is dangerous. I think if Kire braked even before the light (depending what kind of tires, braking system, etc.) The same thing could have happened, You stop the tires but the whole car has no friction. Thus you still go flying.

I would help you Kire, but I dont have any cash :(

Thanks much, I'll still do you a pic if ya want me to. I put up some examples, hopefully not too big.

Cow, I don't hold it against ya, and I only kept 1 Wii system (sold the other to a friend), and hell, I didn't even want it that much...video games are a pressure created by my relationship that I try to cut down and I don't deny that I buy quite a few games...but I also sell a lot back to keep in check. Plus, I'm not just asking for a hand out...I'm going to really try to make these worth people's while.

A $500 deductible is standard for the most part in any insurance contract, thats how much you have to pay before they give you anything to finish fixing your car.

And I had a similar experience in heavy rain, if its heavy rain or snow/ice, you might as well keep going, even if you do try to stop one of 2 things is going to happen...

A.You'll slide through the light slightly slower then if you had kept going, resulting in a more likely chance of getting hit
or
B.You'll lose control while sliding and end up in a ditch/wrapped around a pole.

Either way you wont stop in time, so go ahead and go...
And by the way, theres a big difference in snowfall in Illinois and Texas:)

Anyways I know where you're coming from, PM me your address and I'll see what I can hook you up with, though I wouldn't mind some art, you shouldn't have to pay for other peoples carelessness so I'm not worried about it:)

Dude, the deductible thing was a joke.

I don't care if where you are when there's bad weather you change the way you drive. If you can't stop for a red light then you're out of control and need to slow the **** down.

I'll see what I can get for money... I would love a couple of characters drawn. If I can't get it all, maybe Hito and I can go in on a couple. I'll gladly help out pavilionites, cause I been helped myself.

Good luck. I sent some to your paypal account, in case you haven't found it yet.

Edit: BTW, just sell that second PS3 and your deductible is covered.

Kire

Czechs...thanks so much man. Just ask for whatever and I'll draw it for you if you want me to.

Yeah, the other PS3 will cover the deductable, but a combination of current events already had me in shallow water. I'm slowly working my way out of it though with cheap meals (dollar pot pies!), drawing, and selling some games.

BTW, those who want drawrings from me who haven't already, send me a PM or an email at eriknovak00@gmail.com and I'll get to work on whatever (gimmie a description too).
