    Idea for a RPGM3 game

Would anyone watch a movie that is solely in Storyteller mode? I had some ideas but initially I think I could just make a game that is just a story.

Maybe add a few battles and save points, but allow storyteller to do all the walking and whatnot. The story would continue in storyteller until the next save point or battle (now that I think of it, like Fire Emblem... but that wasn't my true intent.)

I forget how many storytellers are allowed (100?) but I would think that It might work.

I am wondering what you guys think about it.

I remember something like this being mentioned before. I think you could make it work if you're patient. It would be unique. That's for sure.

I enjoyed "playing" the short "Tabloid" game for RPG Maker 2, which was a movie. All you had to do was press X to continue the scene. I liked it a lot.

it would be pretty interesting...perhaps have a few different endings depending on a few decisions(i know youre limited) but having alternate endings would make people more apt to play it

nothing against youre idea, I just dont think id get into a game like that unless it had variations but i dont know exactly what you had in mind so i cant really speak on the matter

Never thought of multiple endings... I could do that easy. Depending how long of game I wanted.

I think I am going to go through with it. But it is either just going to be a not-so-funny-but-so-bad-it-is-funny comedy or somthing deadly serious.

Your writing ability would have to be greatly above average to acomplish something like this, as dialogue is about all you'll have. So you better be good.

Ehhhh... My grammar sucks, I forgot all about that. Thanks Ryner... (<- In a totally honest way)
I can always write it out beforehand then put it in the game. But I have no way of self-proofreading besides spelling. I'm sure this post itself has 100 errors.

I spot one or two offhand. Do you want me to continue looking?

Really, Ryner I thank you for enlightening me...

If you want to make a game, then make a game, isn't doesn't have to be a movie with the occasional battle.. Heavy cutscenes are boring anyway, remember how lame it was to lose a boss fight in FFX, then you'd have to start over and watch the same five minute cut scene you just saw?

I could always make a save point right (ie it goes to a seperate room for you to save) before the battle. Like; Save, 1 frame of cutscene, battle, save, cutscene, repeat.

why dont you type out the dialog in word or something and then hit it with spell/grammar check? and then print it out

actually the game is now starting to sound a bit interesting

But that doesn't help me with word composition and usage. I always get Their and There mixed up, and stuff like that.

oh youre going for that middle age talk where there was no such thing as grammer

well you claim youre so bad at it so you should be a natural

EDIT:he changed his post afterwards so now I look like a retard for saying this

I don't think that it works that way.

It would work much better if you didn't have to click the button to get through each conversation.

But, if you do want to do this and put the dialogue in word first, I would be happy to go over it for you. I minored in writing in college, and I enjoy proofreading.
