    EB's new Marketing Ploy

    So I walk into EB today. There is a section of the wall devoted to the upcoming Wii, that shows what games, accessories and whatnot will be available. But here's the kicker.

    They have a digital clock on the top of the display that counts Days/Hours/Minutes/Seconds. Of course it's counting down to midnight of the release date. I just found that to be really hilarious.

    I don't understand how that is a ploy? How is that making consumers want the Wii more?

                    It's also something that I've heard that some Best Buys and possibly Targets are doing. Nintendo is behind it, not EB.

                            This is old news. It was anouced before the release date so there was some miner speculation that Nintendo would release the date through these clocks.
