Yup, I've got a week left before I leave for Navy basic training. I'm incredibly excited, and obviously nervous. I just thought I'd post this as I won't be around for at least 9 weeks, and you guys have been AWESOME. In the past couple years, I've been lurking more than posting, but I've actually been here from the beginning (at first as NovaDragon423), the same year RPGM 1 was released. I was here for the EIKO IS A MAN controversy, the various board invasions, Mora Musk, BALZE, and tons of good times. Good luck everyone, I won't be gone too long!

Good luck. Just the other day I was chatting with a friend of mine and he told me how he got kicked out of the Navy because he's gay. He got together with some dude who ended up robbing him and naturally he mentioned why the guy was at his place in the police report and got discharged.
But regardless, good lucks and thanks for the serving of the country and stuff. Yay for patriotisms.

I personally think it's a royal load of ******** they would do that. (Sorry, that was in reference to the gays in the military thing.)
But, good luck. I know what basic for the Air Force is like, and I've heard that the Navy is even worse. Just keep nondiscript and don't give them anything to use against you.
And remember it's only a few weeks, and everything'll always get better the more you know.

Fundy thumpers, bigots, and fascists just can't stand the notion of having members of that 9-12% of the population serving this country. The only things gayer than gays are fundy thumpers, bigots, and fascists. Sadly, these three segments of the population have practically appointed themselves into positions of power, through means of sheer manipulation, election rigging, and otherwise.

Don't let the assholes that train you get to you; the entire point of their excersises is to destroy all semblence of individuality and self worth because supposedly it enhances discipline and certainly encourages blind obedience. Oh, I'm not worried. I tend to be very... discreet in my personal dealings, I doubt it'll be a problem. But thanks for the well-wishes.... and yeah, I have NO idea what my avatar was back then, either. I've had Gakt up there for the past year now, at least.
