    Worst Music Ever?

To me, the worst music ever (or at least, music that is actually liked by people) is a tie between Dragonforce and Panic! at the Disco.

Dragonforce is the gayest band ever, and all their lyrics and song titles are some of the stupidest words ever put next to each other. Look at the lyrics for this one song "Fury of the Storm" (as if the title wasn't bad enough already):

    Ohh, Ohhh, Ohhhhhhhh

We are riding for the battle field in force tonight
Fury of the darkest evil cry for war
Far beyond the boundaries of hell and starlight
On the road to lands unknown forever more

Through the caverns far below our quest will lead us
Onwards through the ice and snow forever more
Standing fighting full of hate the time has come now
Stand and sound the guns of glory cry for war

It honestly goes on like that. I know some nerds who like them and every time any song by them comes on I instantly break down into tears. Their whole image is like something that fat D&D nerds would come up with in 7th grade. "Yo what if it had some dragons, and it was like... riding into battle for the BATTLE OF HELL??" "Oh man, radical!" Of course, 11 year olds can't play guitar as quickly as in Dragonforce, but they could simulate all the rad solos by playing a 3-note arpeggio over and over and then speeding it up in Sound Recorder. TECHNICAL PLAYING!

Panic! at the Disco is self-explanatory, if you've ever heard them, and if you haven't, don't. All my girl-friends, and friends that wish they were girls try to get me to listen to them, and every time I grudginly say yes I immediately regret it. Not only are they the most talentless new trend-rock band (and that's saying a lot), everything they do is full of undeserved pretentiousness, like their song names, which are second only to the Flaming Lips in terms of length and sheer idiocy. Examples are "Every day I thank God for Esteban" and "The Only Difference Between Suicide and Martyrdom is Press Coverage". Take that, the establishment!

Anyway, I know I will catch a lot of flak because nerds are Dragonforce's only fanbase, so if you think that I am an idiot for disliking them, explain why in no less than 300 words. Otherwise, what do YOU think is the worst music ever?????

Yes, Dragon forces lyrics are corny, and lame, but thats not why I love'em. About half of every one of their songs has no lyrics, and they just go nuts on the instruments at insane speeds. Thats the part of Dragon Force lots of people like.

Worst music......about everything I've been hearing on the radio at work thats been in the "Top 20 for 5 weeks running!".

          Any boy band.
Modern country music. Vomitous. They should be ashamed.
Modern Hip Hop is just silly.
Neal Diamond. He had the worst sounding voice of all time and made millions.
Nirvana. They were never good, but their marketing group convinced you they were.

Even if you don't like Dragonforce, the fact that you would list them as one of the two worst bands in music tells me your whole way of thinking is flawed. The sound recorder, three note arpeggio thing; sounds like you heard that comment from somebody second hand and threw it in there. Like five people on youtube left the exact same comment when I was watching one of their videos on that website three months ago.

You actually listen to the lyrics in songs? I couldn't care less about the text in songs.
Never understood a word Dragonforce was singing about, I just love the singer's work/voice, the band's tunes and their playing.

I can't stand Tejano, Country or Pop music. I'm not too fond of modern rap, but I'm big fan of older rap stuff (Public Enemy, The Fat Boys, NWA, Kool Keith, etc). I also hate bands that try that tired white boy rap/rock ****.

Nirvana. They were never good, but their marketing group convinced you they were.
That's funny, since I like Nirvana a lot. Nobody told me they were good, I just heard my friend listening to "incesticide" and I enjoyed it so much that I went out and got a copy of the album. Then I got into the rest of their music. *shrugs*

Pantera's legacy...I liked Pantera when Phil Anselmo wasn't growling into the microphone (which was rare), but otherwise his voice was aggravating. I hate that Pantera's legacy is that vocal style. Over and over again every "heavy" band I hear has that godawful mucousy gargle-scream. Cut that **** out.

Also, AFI. I don't think this needs an explanation, but when you're being outrocked by a Gap commercial it's time to consider closing the make-up bag and going back to waiting tables at Chevy's.

Pantera released precisely ONE real album that wasn't growl-intensive and it was when they were still pretty much a hair metal band.

                        I don't get what you're saying.

I have a really tough time identifying "bad" music. Music either appeals to me or bores me. I am very rarely offended by any particular song.

Well, maybe speedcore and some trance stuff.

I'm saying I liked their music (not the hairband stuff), but his voice grated on my nerves and it irritates me that what all the metal bands took from Pantera was the crap vocal delivery and nothing else.

I never know what category anything is anyway and I don't bother to find out who performs a song unless I want to hear more of their stuff so I have nothing to contribute.
