The Pacifier is him trying to actually act instead of doing some action movie. I've actually heard that he's getting some good reviews. Him, not the movie.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

I see zombie movies for the zombies and shredding people apart, not for the bad acting/actors.
