    Oblivion (large pics inside)

so this is the game that i bought my 360 for. it comes out on the 21st and i cant wait. it was supposed to be a launch title, and as pissed as i was that they delayed it. looking at the screenshots and videos i can safely say that it was probably worth it.

    here is the site: Oblivion

and here is the link to the new video that was released today. its only 32 seconds long but its pretty damn amazing. its actual gameplay and how it will look on x360

if anyone else is planning on picking this up, i guess on xbox live there is some way to make a room and talk to eachother while playing the game. i think that might be a cool way to experience your first few hours on oblivion.

      Re: Oblivion

My PC cant handle the goodness, so I'll be going with the 360 version... which I just ordered today, so, uh... Anyways, I was really hoping to go with the PC version since I like the control a mouse provides a lot more than some silly analog stick. But, I do what I must, and hopefully I'll have my system by Tuesday.

I think I've said this before, but the reports I've been hearing keep mentioning insane pop-up issues.

              Re: Oblivion

Those reports are pretty retarded; they are getting pop up issues mixed up with level-of-detail(LOD). If you watch the video (1 week left), you can see it isnt that bad. and honostly, i only noticed it when i actually tried to see it. Plus, if you listen to the pod-cast on gamingsteve.com, he says that the issue isnt that bad. So, i wouldnt listen to those reviews where they JUST have to find something wrong with the graphics...if you ask me, they are damn near perfect.

It would be a very annoying problem if things are as bad as this fella makes them seem. Though it makes me feel a little better to see he played the game before it went gold, so it's very possible he was playing an old version. It doesn't really matter anyway, I'm playing this game no matter what. I just have to hope for the best.

I am going to first run out of town, and just explore the woods. Kill a deer or take my clothes off and run around nakey.

                        Athlon XP 3500+
                        2gigs of PC3200 ram

                        300gb HD
its an SLI mobo also, so if i want, i can just purchase a new video card(has to be the exact same model), to enhance the graphical capabilities. and i can use the X2 processors if i want once the prices go down a bit.

I'm not gonna miss out on this. I just need a better...whatever it is that's lacking the most on my PC. If my video card is more sub-par than anything else, I'm gonna get a better video card. No matter what, I can run it. I just can't run it great. (And I wonder how it would run with this PC as it is now. Lot's of fog? Lot's of pop-up/short-range draw-in? Low framerate?)

                            Re: Oblivion

yea jer thats what i got, except my processor is athlon 2400xp. so it runs at about 2.3g and i really want the best for this game so if i get it for pc it needs to be full everything or bust. so im getting it for xbox, but when i upgrade my processor im gonna get it for pc for the mods, which by then will probably start being optimized and not resource hogs like they normally are when they get released.

but anyways; I CANT FREAKING WAIT FOR IT!!!

I have passed most of the recomended requirements, other than video card and cpu. But my cpu is 2.7 ghz.

It will be a lot cheaper to just buy a new video card then to get a XBox 360.
