Re: Mario 64 in 16 minutes.
i've never played M64, are the stars the goal when u first begin, or is this person playing a New game+ kind of thing?
Some stages look waaay too easy to get those stars. its one thing to remember a game by heart, but why would Nintendo make a 16min long game?Last edited by Goufunaki; 01-05-2006, 08:20 PM.

In every Mario 64 stage there are like 8 stars to collect much like shines in Mario Sunshine, power cells in jak and Daxter, puzzle pieces in Banjo-Kazoei, and so on.Originally posted by Goufunakii've never played M64, are the stars the goal when u first begin, or is this person playing a New game+ kind of thing?

The player is taking every shortcut and using every glitch possible to get the stars. They take a lot longer to get if you play the game normally. The game is not 16 minutes long. The player exploited glitches to get around doors that require you to collect up to 70 stars to get through.

Re: Mario 64 in 16 minutes.
That was done using some tool that made the game run slower (the SMB3 one), as far as I read.Yup, the goal is to get at least 70 of the 120 stars. Or so I thought. And trust me, 99% of Mario 64 players can't do what he just did.i've never played M64, are the stars the goal when u first begin, or is this person playing a New game+ kind of thing?

Personally I don't think the video is real. When whomever-it-was opens the door leading to Bowser in the Underground, pay attention to the Bowser painting in the back of the room. In both the original and DS games, the picture started off being one of Peach and turned into Bowser as you got closer to it, yet in this video, it's Bowser the whole time."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
