    real life ghost stories

Here's a conversation I had w/ my brother. Keep in mind, I'm VERY skeptical, and if he wasn't there to confirm what I saw, I would have thought I was hallucinating. I've told this story before. Have any of your own stories?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Kire says:
hey, y'remember that weird thing when we were on vacation in the hotel?
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    yup
    Kire says:
that's still one of the weirdest things that's ever happened to me
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    NEVER TALK ABOUT THAT!
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    lol
    Kire says:
    hehe
    Kire says:
did I ever tell you the part that I was scared ****less to get up and pee, and I was really cold that night trying to go to sleep?
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    heh, no
    Kire says:
    yeah
    Kire says:
I don't know why, I just felt really scared
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
I was freaked that's for sure
    Kire says:
that whole experience just...if you hadn't said anything I woulda thought I was just making **** up.
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    no ****
    Kire says:
    well what did you see?
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
I think that's the weirdest part about it
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
something bluish at the top of the room
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    I think
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    I don't really remember clearly
    Kire says:
    yeah, whitish blueish
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    yeah
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:

    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    haha
    Kire says:
    hehe
    Ben Novak - (x31390) says:
    freaky ****.

    Re: real life ghost stories

According to legend, we live in a "haunted" house. It was built in the 1930's. All of the residents have experienced weird stuff if they've lived here for a while. I don't put much stock into the idea of ghosts running around, but I guess there is some force here that enjoys playfully messing with the occupants. I try not to think about it too much, and now I've learned to ignore it, for the most part.

The only thing that still manages to bug me out is when I hear what sounds like the heavy footsteps of a large person, slowly pacing across the underside of the hardwood floor. At first I thought I was nuts, then I noticed that both cats (and Dave) heard it too. It happens every now and then, along with other stuff. As Carl says, "It's best not to think about it."

I saw something one night that shone through my living room window. It was brilliant blue-white light and based off of the color, position, movement and intensity, the only thing I can even imagine it being is ball lightning.

there's a um... guy(?) in my house. he can be spotted whenever the lights are off upstairs, staring out the window in my niece and nephew's play room. sometimes you'll see him out of the corner of your eye inside, but you can almost always see him from outside.

Once every now and then, at a random time during the day, a short series of digital pet-esque beeps can be heard near my bedside desk. There's nothing behind it, and it's been happening for at least 4-5 years now.

It dosen't bother me. Sometimes it feels like it's saying "Don't overexert yourself! Take a break!", or "Your lunch is getting cold!"

EDIT: I take it you're refering you The Guy with the Thing? How's the old bean been?

I feel sorry for your niece and nephew. They haven't experienced any malicious activity I hope.

Once my gamecube mysteriously vanished from the basement and magically appeared in my sister's room.

              Never to be used again.

That is probably the scariest horror based story I've ever heard. That poor gamecube.

One time, when we were little, we found a Rogue X-Men toy standing up one morning. I'm real into UFOs and Bigfoot and stuff like that. Not so much ghosts though. I recall reading a remarkably similar story to Kire's on the internet a while ago. It depicted a blue thing on the cieling as well. I read this really neat thing on robots too. These people had been saved by robots when their cars had gotten stuck. And they found out it was this guy that had been making robots out of Volkswagen parts. They would use those safety monitor technology sensor things to tell when people were in danger and the robots would save them. It was real too. it was this little booklet thing. Roland probably remembers the X-Men toy thing too. Goatsucker.

I'm sorry, but I have a really hard time believing that.

Like transformers! Expect...old. And bad. And lacking catch phrases while transforming.

                          Exactly.

                          Neither exist in real life.

                            ...WTF.

Silent Hill 4 resurrected a fear in ghosts. Has anyone seen the trailer for Pulse?

I don't have any ghost tales of my own, I'm much more fearful of corporeal forms... like PEOPLE. But every once in a long, long while the dark will really freak me out.

edit: OK, I got something. Not of my own, but this scared the **** outta me last semester, watching it all alone in my dark ****ing dorm.

Seriously, don't watch unless you want it haunting your head for the rest of your days.
