My Game idea.

I should be getting RPGM3 any day and will soon be starting on my game Land of Zarconia I, which will be the first in a series of games I will be making.
Plot: You play as Cain who is the commander of the Zarconian army. While being attacked he is told by Lord Amos, the King of Zarconia, to leave at once so that he can find someone this person is the only way Zarconia can survive the attack from the Fiends. Cain meets a few people along the way who help him.

Yes I know it is pretty cliche but what game is not. That is about it, there is alot more to it than that but thats the basic plot it should be a decently long game maybe 10 hours. As of right now I am waiting to get the game ( money) and have just started writing the script to the second game in the series which is coming out great. Tell me what you think about it.

so, a person is spose to find a random person who magically happens to be the person to survive an attack?

yeah.. wow... cliche: yes. but we'll see what happens if/when you post more stuff on it.

Eh, it's a basic plot. A basic idea. So I can see if it's dull. Yeah, that's just how games start off. With a basic idea. So, yeah, as of what William has said, don't expect to get very good criticism. It's a good start, though you'll have to elaborate on that idea to catch anyone's interest.

10 hrs. doesn't seem like a whole lot of time to develop an intricate plot.. but, as long as it's interesting for time it takes to complete it, i say you've got a winner.

cliches will be cliches. doesn't mean things won't be fun, it's just in the way the story is delivered. take care of it.

I think it is and if you ever make a game that takes an average of over 10 hours to beat an RPG Maker game, I don't think too many people will be able to finish it.

But, you got some interesting things to build off...

For example, what's so special about this Cain that he managed to climb the ranks to be commander... Just build of your idea and you should be able to
have something halfway decent.

I have the game written out completely done but if I add anything I will ruin some major parts in the story. You will find out why Cain is able to climb to rank of a commander and there is a character who joins you who is in Cains army he joins you but not much will be learned about him considering some things that happen in the story, and another reason I put so little because I still had not gotten the game, I do now, and was hoping for complaints or suggestions, to make sure it is not something corny that I should not waste time, on and then I could change some of it to make it better. Doxen the person who is in Cains army his story will be a major part later in the series. If you want I can give some descriptions of the characters so tell me but thats about all I can say right now.

What I'm doing is emailing a script (script like a movie script) to one person and getting good feedback from him before moving on farther with the game. The difficult thing is finding who you think would be best for story development help.

I've always wanted to do that with Slayers' Reign. My problem has been that I've never been able to write a complete script. To this day, the whole script is memorized and can't be forgotten at any cost.
