    Hi, I'm Matrix.

    Hey all!

I'm Matrix from the Netherlands. Came across this forum when I was looking for a RPG tsukuru 4 translation. (Really hope the project will succeed!)
    I'm a retro gamer who's very fond of NES, SNES and PSX, especially the RPG's. (;
I've been editing games in RPG maker (psx) for six years now, and four years of that I've been waiting for its better sequal to be translated into English.
I study psychology, like fastfood and Red bull, hate getting out of bed, and am guilty of postponing behavior. That about covers it.

      Re: Hi, I'm Matrix.

The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

Even thinking outside the fictional setup of the movie that quote isn't that far from the truth.

Yes...I think that was probably the point of the movie.

Also, welcome, Matrix. I've not really used RPGM1...hell, it's been a while since I've used RPGM3. Glad to see you seem to be liking it here so far.

I will definitely feel wierd referring to another person as Matrix, but welcome to the family. Just don't go into the basement when Perversion lures you with chocolate. I live in the attic so stay out of there too. I love company, but so do the demons...

lol, it's been my nickname for seven years now, so I'd feel weird referring to myself with another name. Don't let the nickname weigh to much, that's all I'm saying.
Thanks for the welcome, glad to be here. ^^

Btw, I've been working on a RPG maker 1 (psx) project for 150 hours now, it's covering 19 blocks. I REALLY REALLY want to remake that project on tsukuru 4 since I've been told the system is very comparable to RM1, only with more possibilities. I'm constantly running into EXP and HP walls (9999 max), and actually the graphics and especially the battle system are horrible compared to tsukuru 4. I've tried RM2 and 3 on the ps2, but they're not really 'cathing' me. No idea why. With 2, I don't like the battle system. (Especially the display of damage, I want the damage to jump around the screen above the enemy not displayed in some box.) With 3, I didn't take the effort to understand everything because I'm so used to RM1. Oh well. :P I really hope the translation will be completed this year. If I can help with anything, I'd be happy to do so.

                            Hey, welcome to the Pav!

It's cool that you've done so much work on your game in RM1. I really hope it sees the light of day!

RPG Maker XP (and RPG Maker VX for that matter) has a fairly similar style to RM1, has many of the improvements that you'd find in Tsukuru 4 (and a ton of improvements you won't find in 4), and can do certain things that no console Maker can do - might be worth giving the trial a test drive!

How Badly Do You Want It? (VX Ace) is now available for download! - no outside software necessary.

That's why I love 2 so much! EVERYTHING is customizable. (just about everything, anyhow).

You can change any aspect of the battle system, or trash it entirely and make your own.
