    Community News - 10/10/2010

Quick heads-up! Anything Goes and Speedy RPG contests wrap up on November 3rd! How's it coming?

What about the prizes for the previous contest? They're sadly delayed, as I've been buried under vet bills for the last couple months, and will be for a while longer.

Due to a request, Lausen's "Evil Fantasy" for RPG Maker 3 is now available in PS3 format.

Also! Should I start noting which RPG Maker each project is for in these updates?

    I think that's a really solid idea.

Okay, I am doing the speedy RPG. But for Anything Goes, is it all right to enter Survival 2?

(Also, Ixzion is going to get me $30 once it's done, because of a holdover of the Sequelpalooza cash prize. Will any of this be a problem?)

No, I don't know why it would be.

for "Anything Goes", literally anything goes. Full games, demos, whatever. It just has to be a "new" game, as in, not already entered in a pav contest in the same form it's being entered into this contest.

All right. So Survival 2 will be entered. Even if it is not entirely done, it seems.

Though I am going to have a lot more stuff in it than the rather pitiful MagCon demo had.

So Valk, I wanted to give you an update on this thing.

I will not be entering Survival 2 for Anything Goes. Rather, the Prologue. It is a separate scenario that, when completed, gives rewards for the main scenario. Although the entry will come with the custom art and system data of the main game, they art won't be used (mostly) in Prologue and a lot of the System data will be taken out. Meaning you will most likely need to transfer the Save data of your game if you want to use the entry when you (if) you play the finished main game. Would be different, but I don't have the completed System data (more blocks in the finished game after the contest, basically).

I will also have the multiplayer arena component of Survival 2 separate from the main game (both System and Scenario), and I will release that as the Speedy RPG entry. Sound fine?
